If Kid was surprised by the sudden voice behind him, he didn’t show it. He calmly turned his head and appraised the person who addressed him. Whoever they were, they certainly had an eye-catching outfit. Kid himself stood out a bit in his white costume, but it was nothing in comparison.
One hand casually fell to where he kept his card gun. Kid doubted the person meant any harm, since they had called out to him when they could have just attacked, but being prepared never hurt.
“Hello. I don’t believe we’ve met.”
He stepped down from the ledge he’d been on and took a couple of steps toward the figure.
“If you’re looking for the gem, I’m afraid I have already returned it to one of the detectives. Or,” he tilted his head a bit, “perhaps you have other business with me?”
“Well I suppose we both have enemies am I right?”

“Unless you’re implying that he’s after you as well, that doesn’t exactly answer my question. And as unsubtle as he is, I doubt I would have missed that he was after someone else. I don’t know about your enemies, but mine aren’t the type you would want to get involved with.”
