Hakuba winced as he touched the bump on his head and he could already feel his face flushing with embarrassment. The blush deepened, reaching his ears which turned pink with Kaito’s laughter and he had to bite the inside of his cheek from responding out of anger at the teens lack of consideration.
Hakuba ignored the hand offered to him and got himself up, dusting off his suit as he did. He then reached down and set his chair back on it’s legs. Dusting it off as well.
“I’m fine.” He responded after he took his seat again, though his head was starting to ache.
Kaito watched him get up, arm still hanging uselessly in the air. If that and Hakuba’s reddened face was anything to go by, he had definitely gotten upset.

Oops…. Did I make him mad?
The magician straightened as the detective returned to his seat, the ignored hand going to his pocket. A smile remained on his face, but it was more apologetic than mocking, now.
“You sure? It sounded like it hurt…”
His eyes turned to the side and he scratched his cheek a bit.
“…Sorry for laughing. I just never expected to see you fall over like that.”
