Aoko was so angry at herself as she finally managed to reach the roof of the high building in her Kid costume. She was really lucky that no one saw her like that. Who would know, what her father had thought of her, if he saw her in that outfit.

Kid suddenly heard a noise behind him and looked down from his perch above the rooftop door. He raised an eyebrow at the outfit, smiling slightly. There were always a few who attended his heists in the costume. though, they usually weren’t allowed inside….

He blinked and looked a bit closer.

Is that….?

The thief choked back a laugh. Why on earth was she in that getup?

“Flattering though it may be, I don’t think wearing that on nights when people are searching for one in the same costume is the best idea, ojou-san. Wouldn’t want to cause you any unneeded trouble, after all.”

He moved to the edge of the section to let her notice him, his cape waving around behind him.

“So what? I don’t care about the others. I know how it really is like and that’s enough for me.”

She didn’t really understand why, but she somehow hugged him a bit tighter. His body felt familiar, somehow. She looked deep into his eyes and nearly lost herself.

Bad…

He tensed as she tightened her arms. That plan had obviously not worked, and he could feel the heat starting to rise in his face.

And then she starting staring.

Very bad…

The thief took a quick assessment of the situation. The moon, thankfully, was a crescent tonight, so hopefully it was dark enough that the shadows could still hide most of his face. Aoko couldn’t know if he was wearing a mask or not, so that was also a plus. But still, the way she was looking at him….

New plan.

“Well, that’s rather admirable, ojou-san. To not care what others think. However, I myself would rather you not be troubled if someone did see us and decided to spread rumours. So, at the very least, would you settle for simply restraining my wrists?”
