Whether it’s true or not, the magician just raises an eyebrow and doesn’t even make a move to check.
“You know, for someone who spends his time teasing others, you sure can’t take it when it’s sent back your way.” Hakuba turned his chair around so he was facing Kaito. “You also shouldn’t slack off, just because you can’t do magic tricks.” Hakuba watched him before sighing.
“Fine, I apologize, better?” Hakuba looked away from the other teens, arms crossed over his chest.
Kaito cracked one eye open to regard the detective. At least when he teased, it wasn’t when people were already having a bad day… Well, unless it was to try and cheer them up…
He blinked and glanced at the back of the room out of the corner of his eye before carefully cupping one of his hands and placing it palm-down on the desk. When he moved it, a small origami dove had appeared. He didn’t do it too often, but he could be subtle with his magic.
It just wasn’t as fun.
The magician pushed the paper towards Hakuba and grinned.
