Hakuba would have asked the same thing. He had been sure it’s been a dream, but when he woke up, he’d still had his pokeball, though he had not yet figured out how to make it work here in this world. He knew Foxy was curled up in the pokeball, just waiting for him to release her, and it made him long to hold her again.
Hakuba chewed his bottom lip before reaching down to pick up his school bag. It was bulging and quite heavy, though he gently placed it on the desk. He looked around the room to make sure no one was round before he pulled down the sides of the bag. As he did so, a container, with a small pokeball on top, started to show. Finally as he made it past the lid, an egg, nestled on a cushion was revealed.
“I’m not sure if it will hatch or not.” He fingers gently caressed the ball in his pocket. “But I’m sure I will eventually find a way.” He hesitated before pushing it across to Kuroba. “I’m not sure which pokemon it is, it was a gift.”

The magician blinked when Hakuba brought his bag up. He certainly had something that he didn’t normally…
Even more surprising was what was revealed to be inside. He leaned in slightly to look at it, curious despite the small amount of disbelief still in the back of his mind. The ball was given a brief thought –Why was it in there?- before he examined the egg itself. It was… large, to say the least. That, and the fact it had light green spots on it were starting to convince him that maybe it really wasn’t from this world, and that, possibly, the detective was telling the truth…
Kaito carefully reached over, glancing up at the other to make sure it was alright, and gently drew it closer, turning it slightly so that he could see it better.
“A gift? Do people often give out these… Pokemon? Seems like quite a responsibility…”
