Wait… when did I… get here?
The thief blinked as he stared at the horse insignia on the door in front of him. A torn and tattered cape blew around weakly in the wind, and his suit was looking a bit worse for the wear itself, with much of the right half dyed scarlet. He twisted his body to look back the way he came from, wincing as his arm sent out a wave of pain. Glider, falling, hurt…. nothing much was coming to mind about the specifics or what had happened afterward, but he knew he was currently standing in front of Hakuba’s house with a bleeding and, very likely, broken arm.
Kid slowly faced the door again and almost considered just going off to find a pay phone to call Jii. But the feeling of something warm trailing down his arm told him that, the sooner he could get help, the better.
Sighing, he knocked firmly on the door with his left hand, hoping that the detective wouldn’t be too angry at getting a late night visitor….
Hakuba turned to look at the thief and sucked in a breath. He tried to fight the blush that creeped up on his cheeks at the sight of the other undressing. He tried to keep his face neutral, and not give away the hormones that were currently starting to bring his blood a bit to far south for his comfort. Instead he looked away and slipped off his gloves, picking up the pair of surgical ones and sliding them onto his hands. He turned back towards KID and took the few steps needed to close the distance between them. “Just keep your hands at your sides.” Hakuba told him and reached up to undo the buttons the other was struggling with. “I’m not a professional, and I don’t claim to be. I wont be able to stitch it up cleanly enough to leave no scars.” He continued to work on the buttons, looking down and focusing, partly to hide the brightening blush on his cheeks.
Once he had the buttons off he reached up to pull it off the shoulder with the arm, rolling the sleeve up past the wound as gently as possible He pulled it down in one swoop, using his fingers to keep it from touching the skin. He set the shirt off to the side, he figured the other wouldn’t want it back, so he’d toss it later. He then reached up to touch the skin on either side of the wound, inspecting it to see how deep it had gone.
He stepped back over to the table and picked up some gauze, pouring some rubbing alcohol onto the gauze before taking KID’s arm and gently swapping at the blood. He continued till all the dried blood was gone, and the blood was bleeding freshly. He placed the gauze down over the wound and applied pressure to keep it from bleeding out and looked up at KID.
“Hold this until I get the needle ready.”
Kid blinked in surprise when the detective suddenly came close, pulling his hand away when the other reached up to undo the buttons and putting it by his side as asked, having to push back a slight blush of his own. He hadn’t been thinking about the fact he’d been undressing in front of Hakuba until just then, only following what he’d have to do to get the wound looked at.

“That’s fine, tantei. It’ll still probably be better than if I had to work on it myself.”
The thief continued to watch as the other finished with the buttons and set about getting it over the injury, grimacing when it could actually be seen.
As expected from how red his clothes had gotten, it was bleeding quite a bit. There was quite a bit of bruising on him too, now that he was checking, but the gash on his arm was far more troubling. It’s probably heal fine, but… he shouldn’t move it too much for a while…
He took a few deep breaths and waited as the detective cleaned the area and placed the gauze down, the arm tensing a bit when it was placed. At the command, he nodded and moved his hand up to take the place of Hakuba’s, fingers brushing against the other’s as it did.
