Well, now, that was interesting.
Conan’s curiosity about the concept and prize had been sated, but now he was beginning to wonder why the thief would want to dispose his talents onto him or another detective. He was renowned for being elusive and cunning, having escaped him and Nakamori on more than one occasion. Why promise temporary servitude to someone bent on capturing him?
”Yeah, but… why?” He slipped his legs over the window sill and stepped out onto the porch.
The thief lifted his head some when the other came out, but otherwise didn’t move. A small, amused laugh did leave him at the question, though.

“Hmm… You critics always wanting to know motives… Let’s just say I’m bored. That’s generally why people play games, isn’t it?”
No, that wasn’t his real reason. He actually had quite a few for wanting to do this. But none were one he was willing to give away right now.
