Kaito trailed off when he saw who had called out. He might not remember every random person he met, but someone who’d said he would be able to figure out who Kid is wasn’t the type he’d forget… But it did make him wonder if they really would be able to.
He smiled at the other, putting his hands in his pockets as he completely turned to face them.
“I’m not doing anything right now anyway.”
“Yeah, I knew. You sounded like the kind who’d like ridiculously twisted puzzles.”That and you send bad-punned riddles before every single one of your heist it kind of give it away.
“Didn’t expect you to resolve it that fast though. I underestimated you it seem. But yeah, I trust you with that. It’s not like you were going to use it against me anyway.”
Not willingly, at least. Xie could feel it. That prankster wasn’t a bad person.
“You sure I wouldn’t? I know maaany people who would say I’m not exactly the most trustworthy,” he said, grinning mischievously.
Of course he wouldn’t. Not unless he felt it was needed, though he hoped nothing would ever require him to abuse information someone trusted him with.
“Still, thank you for sharing it with me.”
Kaito hesitated a moment before putting the paper in his pocket. He wasn’t sure if the other wanted it back or not, but for now, he might as well put it away.
“So, is that survey for anything in particular? Or just curiosity?”
