Hakuba went down the stairs and he noticed the doves and cursed. This was bad, he’d be able to keep track of him this way… he needed to find somewhere… ah ha! Hakuba opened a door and stepped in, watching the doves go in as well, or at least one did, and he closed the door quickly, shutting the dove inside before fleeing once again. He’d have to come up with something else for the other dove.

Kid frowned when no bird came back to check. He let out a low whistle and increased his pace, listening for a moment before quickly heading down the hall and opening a door where tapping had been coming from. When the dove flew out to land on his shoulder the frown deepened and his eyes narrowed. Why was the detective trying so hard? It was just sleep… Though, the same could almost be said of himself, for insisting on making the other get some rest…
He gently pet the dove over the head as his other hand reached into one of his inner pockets to retrieve a whistle. And, after taking a deep breath, he blew into it, letting a high pitched sound echo through the building. It was well within human hearing, so he knew he couldn’t stay for too long after using it. But instead of going the direction Hakuba likely went, he started going back up to the roof, Sora coming from behind him to land on the other shoulder. He wasn’t going to leave him with the detective if the other was so keen on losing them that he’d put them behind a closed door…
When the thief made it back out to the rooftop, he sounded the whistle again, soon drawing a small flock of doves. He put up a finger and spun it around in a circle a few times before waving his arm, sending them to surround the building.
The detective would have to leave it at some point, after all….
