Wait… when did I… get here?
The thief blinked as he stared at the horse insignia on the door in front of him. A torn and tattered cape blew around weakly in the wind, and his suit was looking a bit worse for the wear itself, with much of the right half dyed scarlet. He twisted his body to look back the way he came from, wincing as his arm sent out a wave of pain. Glider, falling, hurt…. nothing much was coming to mind about the specifics or what had happened afterward, but he knew he was currently standing in front of Hakuba’s house with a bleeding and, very likely, broken arm.
Kid slowly faced the door again and almost considered just going off to find a pay phone to call Jii. But the feeling of something warm trailing down his arm told him that, the sooner he could get help, the better.
Sighing, he knocked firmly on the door with his left hand, hoping that the detective wouldn’t be too angry at getting a late night visitor….
“You’re welcome, there is no need to thank me.” Hakuba waves it off, though he does appreciate it. “I will be fine, I just need a nice long hot shower.” Hakuba pulled the robe tighter around himself, and it was then that he himself remembered what he was wearing. He cursed himself for not realizing it sooner and turned on his heal, taking a few steps towards the door. “If you don’t have money for a cab, there is a direct phone to our family driver. Let him know that I sent you, and he will drive you home, or where ever you wish to go.”
Hakuba paused. “I promise, swearing on my duty as a detective, that I will not ask him where he takes you.” Hakuba turned to look back at him, giving him a serious look to show that he really wouldn’t do that. “Goodnight, KID.” And with that he started walking up the stairs, His shower calling his name.
The thief smiled as the other seemed to become aware of what he’d been wearing. He himself had just finished slipping the shirt on, though he left the buttons undone for now. It’d take longer than he wanted, and he could do it in just a moment, and then find a phone for Jii to pick him up. Though the other might let him use a phone, he’d rather use what he’d have access to himself. It wasn’t that he didn’t trust Hakuba or the driver. He just preffered something more familiar.
He reached down to get his coat, getting it on much more easily, before turning to speak to the detective’s back as the other went off.

“Goodnight, tantei.”
Kid glanced down at the bloody mess that was the blue shirt he’d come in with, briefly wondering if he should move it or take it with him or something, but decided to just leave it. He didn’t think Hakuba would do anything, and even if he was going to, there was plenty to get a blood sample from aside from the shirt…
So he just made his way to the back, starting to actually button the borrowed shirt, briefly glancing up the stairs after the detective before continuing until he left the house.
