Wait… when did I… get here?
The thief blinked as he stared at the horse insignia on the door in front of him. A torn and tattered cape blew around weakly in the wind, and his suit was looking a bit worse for the wear itself, with much of the right half dyed scarlet. He twisted his body to look back the way he came from, wincing as his arm sent out a wave of pain. Glider, falling, hurt…. nothing much was coming to mind about the specifics or what had happened afterward, but he knew he was currently standing in front of Hakuba’s house with a bleeding and, very likely, broken arm.
Kid slowly faced the door again and almost considered just going off to find a pay phone to call Jii. But the feeling of something warm trailing down his arm told him that, the sooner he could get help, the better.
Sighing, he knocked firmly on the door with his left hand, hoping that the detective wouldn’t be too angry at getting a late night visitor….
Hakuba sucked in a breath.Right, shirt.
Hakuba fought the urge to run a hand through his hair and told the other to stay put as he headed up to his room. His chest was already starting to tighten, he would have to get into the shower soon, but he had promised the other a shirt. So now he was going through his shirts, trying to find an old one that he didn’t wear anymore, and finally found one he wouldn’t mind not getting back.
He headed back downstairs and held out the shirt to the other with a shaky hand. He swallowed and tried to keep his breathing even, but he knew he wouldn’t last much longer. This had all been a little too much. It wasn’t just his mysophobia, it was the fact that KID had gotten hurt too. The lines between duty and want were starting to blur, the more time he spent around the thief the deeper he sank.
It was becoming dangerous.
“You can go out the back door if you like, or use the phone to call a cab. I will be heading up to my room for a shower, so I wont see anything.” He really didn’t have any intention of catching the thief this way, he still needed him. Though he had to keep reminding him that it was only as bait for Spider, and not because he wanted to be around him more. “Good night.”
The thief nodded to the detective as he left to go look through his clothes, setting the bottle down soon after he’d gone from sight. He’d decided to deal with the pain for now, until he managed to get back home safely, rather than risk anything happening. Glancing down at the jacket, he debated picking it up off the ground, but knew Hakuba probably wouldn’t want him setting it down somewhere else when he had to put in the shirt. The tie, however, he did retrieve, letting it hang around his neck for the time being.
When Hakuba came back, Kid couldn’t help noticing the other’s shaking as he reached for the shirt and moved to slowly start putting it on over the bandaged arm first, wanting to get that out of the way.

“Thanks again… Are you sure you’re going to be okay?”
