“Didn’t you just get one not too long ago?”
He shrugs and leans forward to kiss her on the cheek this time, grinning as he pulled away slightly, teasing by purposefully not taking her lips this time.
“There’s nothing wrong with them. I just want to know how you feel towards me. I want you to show it to me, Kid. Because..today I want to decide…if I should give up my first love for you..” she said loosen her grip on his jacket, while looking down to the ground. Her bangs were covering her eyes, what made it really difficult to see how she was feeling right now.
That made him pause, and he turned to her with hope, longing, concern, guilt, and a bit of sadness quickly flashing across his face.
“…Are you really sure you’d be okay with that? No matter how much I may care about you, I’m still a criminal…”
Kid waited a moment more before reaching to run a hand through her hair as he leaned down to look her in the eye, other hand going to her shoulder.
“And I wouldn’t want to give you any more trouble because of it…”
