Kid tensed for a moment before allowing himself to relax. He hadn’t really expected the sudden trapping, but he wasn’t really too worried by it either. If this were about catching him because of his job, she could have done something else.
A moment passed and the thief looked down at her with a soft smile.
“…And why would you think I would want to escape, ojou-san?”
He was right, she really wasn’t one to act so suddenly, unless it involved putting her foot through someone’s face and in retrospect, it seemed more like a good idea at the time to trap the thief and less of a practical one now that she actually had him there. Still, he’d left her with a stolen gem before and got away. It had taken her several hours to realize he’d slipped it into her pocket, but she knew the culprit could only be him. Per his usual, he was probably doing his job of returning it, given that it was not what he had been seeking or because it was more of the thrill of the thievery that excited him than actually having the stolen item in his possession. Whatever his reasoning, he had returned it to her.
This time, she wasn’t even sure he’d pulled a heist. “N..no, I g…guess it really isn’t, is it?” She fumbled over her own words. “What do you suppose we should do about this?” There was more confidence that time, but she was treading into uncharted waters, never knowing what the thief might pull next.
Kid waited a moment before grinning and leaning forward slightly, hands sliding into his pockets. He really didn’t mind staying, but her uncertainty made him want to tease her some.

“…You really didn’t have anything in mind when you moved to trap me? I may have said I hadn’t planned on escaping…. but I’m sure you could guess a thief wouldn’t really want to be confined for too long either. So why not do something to hold his attention before he decides to free himself?~”
