“Kuroba-kun, it’s Hakuba Saguru… from school, you remember?” A pause. “Ah, I mean, of course you remember. Well, ah, anyway, the reason for my phonecall – and for disturbing you so late in the evening, apologies for that, incidentally – is that I’m having a little bit of trouble navigating this auction site… You see, it’s a connection with an internet black market and I’m trying to find a specific gem. What… key words do I need to put in? ‘Stolen property’ brings up far too many listings, it’s getting frustrating. Please help?”
The magician had been a bit surprised to hear who’d called him, but it soon turned to interest… with possibly a tiny bit of exasperation at the fact that it just had to do with stolen jewels.

“…I can try, though why you decided to ask me about it, I’d love to know… For any search, I hope you at least put in something more specific than just that it’s stolen. I would think type of gem, maybe the colour or a name, if it has one, would be useful. Size, value, possibly weight and things like that should work too… ‘Course, that’s going more based on how a normal internet search would go more than anything else. Not sure if your ‘black market’ would have any more special ways of finding things.”
He waited a second for the detective to get that, leaning back into his chair before continuing.
“What are you even looking around for anyway?”
