Kid thought something was off when he’d left after the heist. An itch has started in his shoulders and back and wouldn’t stop, no matter how much he rubbed. By the time he’d gotten to the other’s house, it was accompanied by a growing pressure. And it was driving him a bit crazy. As soon as he made his way inside, he went into the closest room he could get to and took off his jacket. And once he got the shirt off, the first thing he did was let out a sigh of relief as the pressure disappeared.
And then he saw what had been causing it.
Two large white wings stretched out, now that they were free from the restraint. The thief stared at them for a moment before slowly closing his mouth and reaching across his shoulder to touch one of them, ruffling the feathers some. Yep, he could feel it. The hand slowly pulled away and he tested moving them, tilting and flexing them slightly before completely folding them back.
Which is when he noticed he was no longer alone.
He hesitated a moment before grinning.
“Nice to see you again, tantei-kun.~ Sorry for not coming to say hi when I dropped in, but I got a bit preoccupied…”
Looking down, he saw the shirt and coat were still in a pile on the floor, so he reached down to get them, smoothing them out and setting them to the side. He’d definitely need to find out what to do about wearing those later…
The detective gave a small shrug, not really faulting the thief for turning down the offer. Even if he did think it would be easier then destroying his own clothing. “All right, the offer still stands if you change your mind though.”It didn’t really take long to get to the room, opening the door and flipping the light switch on so they could see. It was probably the biggest of the bedrooms in the house and it seemed to radiate how long it’s masters had been away. Or maybe it was only Shinichi who could feel that, a small frown marring his face as he caught sight of photos on his mother’s vanity.
Rubbing at an arm, he turned to head to the large walk-in closet to rummage through for one of his dad’s biggest jackets to give to the thief. One of them had to be big enough to hide those wonderful wings against the thief’s back. He finally found one he thought would work, a deep black one, and handed it to him.
“See how that one fits.”
Kid simply hummed in acknowledgement of the comment and continued after the other. When they reached the room, he looked around a bit before going over to the closet, nodding a thanks to the detective as he accepted the jacket. He stepped back out into the bedroom before sliding it over the folded wings and putting his arms through the sleeves. They were still slightly uncomfortable at being confined, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it had been with the suit. And aside from maybe a couple of the feathers at the end of the appendages sticking out at the bottom, it did manage to cover them. There was a bit more tension as he closed the jacket, but it was still easily bearable.

“Hmm… I think it will work. If anyone actually stops me to ask about why it’s sticking out so much, I can just say it’s a bag.”
The thief then took off his hat and flicked it, making it turn into a normal black cap which he then placed back on his head. Then he smiled and turned to Shinichi, charm on the monocle swaying slightly as he did.
“Ok, be honest. I’m just a pair of sunglasses away from being the most stereotypical obvious criminal you’ve seen, aren’t I?”
