KID was standing in his kitchen.
Having effectively stopped dead in his tracks at the sight of the white clad thief, he stared at him a bit stupidly while he tried to process what he was seeing. KID was standing in his kitchen and making coffee.
Whenever the thief stayed he was gone by the time he woke up. So to see him standing there was… He turned to head back out of the door way.
“I’m going back to bed."
No he was kidding. The smell of coffee was too tempting.
Turning back around he moved to go and pull down some cups, in case KID wanted some too, before sitting down at the island. He wanted to ask why he was still there, why he hadn’t left, but he was so afraid the thief would do as such.
"I feel like I should apologize for the lack of food in my cabinets,” he said instead. It was best, he felt, to not bring up the previous night. Maybe let the thief do as such instead.

Oi, oi…
Actually, he wasn’t sure whether to be offended or not that the detective would be so shocked at seeing him still in the house as to possibly just go back to bed and pretend the thief wasn’t really there. Especially since the other had been the one to mention the possibility of Kid still being here in the morning.
Well, he didn’t debate it for too long, when Shinichi went to go get cups, a bit surprised when a second one was pulled out. Kid hadn’t really been intending on having any of the coffee himself, since he could function just fine after he made himself get out of bed ninety-five percent of the time. On the other hand… It would likely help with the headache…
And just the simple action of pulling out two cups, to him, meant he was welcome to be here a bit longer.
The thief couldn’t help bit give a silent sigh of relief at that, and the fact Shinichi hadn’t commented about what had happened last night. He knew the other was probably still curious, especially since that was the reason he was standing in the detective’s kitchen in the first place.
But he wasn’t going to willingly discuss it himself either, if the other wasn’t going to bring it up. Not actively avoid the topic either, but he just kind of wanted to ignore it for as long as possible.
Kid shifted his weight some as he waved a dismissive hand at the mention of apologising.
“It’s fine. Not me you should apologise to for that anyway, considering your stomach is the one that has to deal with a barren kitchen…. Really, tantei-kun, coffee is not a food group…”
Ok, he’d told himself he wouldn’t scold… but he couldn’t help it.
