I didn’t expect telling you I wasn’t taking a nap would cause you to loose your mind and chase me down and threaten to use your sleeping gas on me.” Hakuba humphed and shifted a little on top of the wall. “There are not enough hours in the day to do all that needs to be done, you should just be happy I sleep at all.” Hakuba turned, going to slip off the wall, on the other side, but his pant leg got caught. He gave it a tug, and started to slip backwards, eyes wide as he realized he was falling.

Kid opened his mouth to reply, but stopped when he saw that the detective moving back, a surge of fear going through him as the other started to drop. It might not have been all that high up, but falling backwards from any height was dangerous, if one was unlucky….

He quickly took the few steps forward needed to place himself under the other teen, arms out, though in the back of his mind, he knew he wasn’t in a good enough position to not fall back himself if he took Hakuba’s weight…
