Aoko shot a short glare at him and ate the other half of the cookie. “You’re no fun today, Bakaito. Maybe I should ask Hakuba-kun instead. He surely would play along.”, she suggested more to herself than him, looking around for the detective.
“Good luck with that. Haven’t seen him in class yet today.”
Kaito picked up one of the lemon cookies and held it out. Really, he’d brought them to share, not make people irritated. At least, not today.

“And it pains me that you’d say someone who brought things like this wouldn’t be any fun. Maybe you had a bit to much sour from something that’s supposed to be sweet.” The smile and tease in his voice were enough to tell that he wasn’t really serious.
