The Excorcist Theif — Allen & KID

Allen was lost. He couldn’t be more lost than he was two or three days ago when he started on this stupid mission. He couldn’t read Japanese and he really should have asked Kanda to teach him some basics, but of course he was too stubborn…

Staring up at the skyscrapers as he walked, he wondered just how these buildings became so tall.

The snowy-haired teen bumped into a door and found it.. was moving?! After a few trips around the spinning glass door, he made his way into the building by mistake… But it turned out that the building was laced with Akuma…..

He couldn’t possibly fight these all alone, so he put his sunglasses over his eyes and pulled a hat on his head to hide his scar. This had to be the place.. Akuma didn’t just gather for no reason…

Allen took a small pamphlet and made out the few words of English that were on the papers and walked towards the display room that the Sapphire pendant was displayed.

Human guards stood at the doorway, and Allen stared at the pendant. It was gorgeous, really… But could a seemingly harmless gem have killed it’s previous owners?

At the briefing back at HQ, Allen had heard that the people who touched the gem had been stricken with such bad luck that the long list of owners died days later. They were certain it had to be the work of Innocence, so Allen stood there and waited.

…It had to be waiting for it’s accomodator. It had to be.

Kaito hummed absently as he looked around the showroom, various jewels and decorations of all types spread throughout. Pretty to look at, even if they weren’t the types he was looking for. And honestly, a couple of them looked fake, but it was more because they looked out of place compared with the others than that he’d actually done any research into them to know for certain.

This particular show had been announced a few weeks ago, but had only become open days ago. At first, he hadn’t been to interested, nothing seeming large or having much possibility for being Pandora… but the main piece, the Soul of Artemis, managed to catch his attention. The gem looked nice and, after looking into it, came with a somewhat morbid history. So, he’d gone ahead and sent a notice off yesterday to say Kid would be coming to take it the last day it was being shown.

And now the magician just wanted to take a final look around the place before making a basic plan for the heist. Some parts would probably need to be changed to deal with whatever Nakamori managed to come up with to try and get him, but just being fully aware of where all the other displays, cameras, normal guards, general layout of the rooms…

It was always something he enjoyed doing. It gave him an excuse to see the full exhibit, and try and see if it seemed like Snake was taking an interest as well, though, thankfully, the gunman didn’t seem to be hanging around. Or maybe not something he should be thankful for, considering that would at least be telling him the jewel really was a Pandora suspect… Ah well.

Kaito eventually made his way over to where the sapphire was being kept, not even glancing at the guards as he walked up to the case, though he did still keep a fair distance. And after appreciating the gem for a few moments, he turned to look and smile at the totally not suspicious looking person with white hair wearing sunglasses inside the building. Strange appearance aside, the other didn’t look like one of Snake’s men either, so what they looked like wasn’t too big of a concern of his. Just made them noticeable.

“Quite a pretty sight, don’t you think?”
