Kaito immediately jumped off the bed, a tiny thump sounding when he hit the floor, and ran to the front of the house. He’d been getting worried since he’d gotten back from the heist, since his detective needed to take care of some work afterward. Didn’t help when he had troubles like this…

But it didn’t matter, he’d returned, if the front door opening gave any indication. And Kaito’s just going to run up and start rubbing against his leg, worry about being a cat momentarily pushed aside from being happy to see his detective.

Hakuba smiles and scratched the top of his head, slowly and softly. “Yes, I love you too, Kaito.” He closed his eyes and relaxed, putting an arm behind his head as he did, enjoying the purring.

Enjoy all you like. Kitten Kaito wasn’t going to stop anytime soon. At least not until he falls asleep. Right now, though, he enjoyed the scratching before scooting further up Saguru until he could lick his face, eyes closed and smiling.
