Is it right to have an intimate relationship with somebody you don’t love?

“…I’m probably not the best person to say whether something is right or not, but in my opinion… no. It feels like that would be more lying and manipulative than something intimate should be. Whether sexually involved or just between people who are close, there should be love of some sort there’s going to be closeness and for it to last and stay well. Even if just caring about the other. I suppose one side might love while the other doesn’t, but that’s still a problem from the side that doesn’t feel anything and yet continues to be close… But that’s also more general. There are usually exceptions to everything at points that would be fine even if I wouldn’t normally agree with it.”
