Frowned at sound of the agency door opening, Kogoro no doubt sneaking out to check out that new pachinko parlor now that Ran was asleep. While he silently judged the Sleeping Detective’s life choices, he shut the book in front of him. It was probably time for him to get some sleep himself.
Leaving the book on his desk for now–so that he could access it quickly when he woke up, he started heading over to his bed. He often kept his shoes on indoors despite it seeming rude because he felt vulnerable without them, especially on days where cases happened. Today’s case had been pretty bad, so he hadn’t taken them off since coming home. Well, until now, since he was going to bed.
Placed the shoes by the edge of his bed, put his watch and bowtie on his nightstand, and went to turn off the light. Heard a click just as his hand reached for the switch. Immediately turned around, seeing the intruder.
“W-what the–” Wasn’t sure who he was or what he was doing entering his room from the window, but he was not in the mood, especially since he had just taken off half of his weapons!
“N-niichan, this is my room!” Tried his best to act the part of a confused child as he edged towards his shoes. Hoping to get to them without seeming too suspicious, before he noticed the card gun in the other’s hand. His hammering heart slowed instantaneously.
An intruder, yes, but not necessarily a danger. Still didn’t know what he was doing here, maybe to return the jewel he stole tonight? Now that he placed a name to the intruder–as much of a name as he knew the other by, anyway, he noticed the faint presence he could feel whenever he was nearby. “K-KID? What the hell?”
The for-once-black clad thief simply gave a teasing smile to the chibi as he lightly closed the window some (not all the way, just in case), then took the few steps to take a seat on the bed. The card gun went into a pocket, hopefully not to be used again until he left. ‘Hopefully’ hinging on the other’s reaction to him being here.
“Aww, I think I preferred the ‘niichan’, if you’re going to curse at me tantei-kun~ Should I be worried, that some random intruder gets the cute treatment?”
Not as though said treatment worked on him, when he did know what the detective was capable of. Trust him, the aiming for the shoes didn’t go unnoticed. Tsk, tsk, tantei-kun, you knows those don’t belong in here… Though speaking of weapons, his ‘reason’ for dropping in…
A quick glance told him he’d been right that the smaller didn’t keep any of his usual on him. Hmm… not sure whether he should be relieved or worried about that, really. On the one hand, means he’s not going to be knocked out for bugging the smaller at random like this. On the other… the detective did have a tendency to attract crimes. …Not that many would try and break in a third story window to an older detective’s room though. Or mess with the martial artists if they were aware. …Pretty safe even without weapons on, now that Kid thought about it…
