Twelve. That was what number he was currently up to on the detective yawns. And when he saw the other start to sway, he couldn’t remain sitting still. Kid got up off the sofa and went over to the other, ignoring any protests that may have been made as he pulled Shinichi back over and pushed him down to sit, leaning in front of him with his hands still on the other’s shoulders. “Ten minutes,” he deadpanned, “You will take a break from whatever cases you might be working on for ten minutes.”

meitantei-cowlick:

And protest Shinichi was, the detective trying (and failing) to get back to his case files at least. “But I’ve almost solved it!” he whined, arm flailing a bit in the direction of the files though he knew his words were falling on deaf ears.

One could tell that he’d pushed himself a little too far when he whined like a child, it was like Conan hadn’t vanished completely in some ways. The likeness even remained as he found himself sulking (pouting even!) as the thief pushed him gently to sit down on the couch. He’d been so close!

A petulant glare was given to the thief as he looked up at him, trying to ignore how warm the thief’s hands felt through the gloves and his shirt. Okay so working almost twenty-four hours straight on one case wasn’t the best idea… He just hoped the thief hadn’t known exactly how long he’d been working.

Shinichi did eventually relent on the glare and sighed, realizing he wasn’t going to win this one. “Fine. Ten minutes.” And then he’d just work himself even more once the ten minutes were up.

A nod. Good, at least he’d gotten the overworking detective to agree to that much right off, and right to knowing ‘no’ wasn’t an option. Far more stubborn on this sort of thing than his detectives, and any ‘no’s would only serve in staring argument.

Agreement received, Kid pulled back and walked around to the back of the couch. Of course he knew ten minutes wasn’t enough, and that Shinichi would be itching to throw himself into work, but it was a good time that he’d figured he could get the other to agree to wait. Hopefully, it would go on for longer than intended, though even if i didn’t, the thief wouldn’t waste the opportunity.

“You need longer, considering you’re almost dislocating your jaw yawning by now… But for my own sanity in watching you flip through the same papers thousands of times, thank you for that much.” The hands came back down on the other once he’d gotten around behind him, though with more purpose as his fingers started to move and press in, massaging.

“What sort of case is it anyway, that you clearly think it beats sleeping well enough to actually think?”

Princess to be Wary of

Princess–
… Of course he was trying to butter her up. That’s what Kaito KID did. Played as a gentleman for his “audience” and his “fans”. Disgusting. Gross. Fake. Like a cliché performer who goes so over-the-top, everyone claps along sarcastically just so he’ll get off the stage.

Aoko just wanted him gone.

❝ Isn’t that more of a reason to stay? You wouldn’t want to be eaten up by the dragons! Then how will you be able to do your performances?

Trying to play along– Trying to delay his escape as much as she could so her father could barge through the door and catch him red-handed white-gloved. Then there’d be two victories that night. Her father would succeed in catching the infamous thief, and Aoko would finally have her father back.

Hopefully. Provided another international thief with KID’s talents flukes didn’t appear out of no where to capture his intrigue again.

Taking careful steps towards him, she prepared herself to tackle the thief if need be. Anything to keep him in this room for just a little longer–

“Those dragons have been hungry and chasing for some time now. If I didn’t go out every time they were here, there wouldn’t be any performances either way.”

The door swung open, even as he kept a careful eye on the titled ‘princess’ in the room. More of a knight than Hakuba, really, with how she handled people like him, but it fit nonetheless. And considering he was fully aware of the hate Aoko carried for his own current title… Kid knew well the concern and casual fantasy chat came more from wanting to stall him than anything.

And though he could, the thief didn’t take leave quite yet.

“If you’re so worried about my possibilities of being eaten, however, the window would make a better exit for me to out-fly them.”

“Still. We could just start from right here and see where the wind takes us.” Very serious discussions. Honor was a serious thing. Kaito was very much not a serious person, usually.

“Sure, maybe even head to a place we can get ‘quest information’, like the park. Question though.. if I get dishonour, does that technically mean you have it, too? Might be looking for a while.” Blasphemy.

detectivebarou

“Yes.” An immediate response. He didn’t doubt that the thief really might just be so bored that he randomly pops into someone else’s house, but that would be even more of a reason for him to want a reason. Because this was his house. A detective’s house. Just what was he doing?

Sighed, he would think that after a heist he would be tired and just want to go home and sleep. Maybe he was antsy about something? And couldn’t hold still afterwards? “You just entered a detective’s room, I’m pretty sure that in itself demands a solid reason. You wouldn’t do this to any other detectives, would you?”

On second thought, he didn’t want to know the answer to that. It wasn’t like he was going to try and get him turned in or anything right now, but did the risk just fly over the other’s head?

He really didn’t seem to be hostile or anything though… And it wasn’t like he had to get up in the morning or anything. Added, hopefully quick enough for the thief to not bother responding to his last question. “Do you need an outside opinion on something? Like a case, or something that happened at a heist?”

May be giving him a little bit of an out for his actual reason for coming here, but he didn’t really know if KID would jump to an excuse like that. He was still wrapping his mind around the concept of him entering his house just because he was bored. It didn’t seem unlike him, honestly. And that was a little worrying.

Yep, jumped right on wanting a real reason. And might have brought up what would normally be a good point, in that random urges to climb in a detective’s window was odd for a bored thief. You know, if he were a thief who particularly worried his detectives thought him so bad to arrest him on the spot at any time.

..Which did mean that, had the question not been hastily covered with another, he’d have admitted he might. Guess it’d depend on the reason, and while the out for here was appreciated… Hmm…

“…Well… something did happen at tonight’s heist. Technically not the first time, but…” The light tone from earlier seemed to have vanished as the thief turned his eyes towards the door, voice falling a bit lower as he leaned forward from his seat on the bed and beckoned the chibi closer.

“Wouldn’t be best if Mouri-chan happened to wake up hearing us,” he explained.

littledetective

It’s no problem…”

The longer the teen lingered in one spot, the
   more concerned Conan became. The
   obvious hesitation and lost-in-thought
expression caused for worry – if he was
uncomfortable with the place, why bother
   going inside?

He was about to ask the obvious question
when the expression he was glancing
over suddenly changed and the seemingly
frightened male finally moved from his
place in line. With his own money in hand,
Conan quickly bought his ticket and hurried
   in after the stranger.

Keeping his distance, the tiny detective kept
an eye on the bundle of nerves that observed
one of the many maps handed out throughout
the aquarium. He had his own folded and
stuffed into his jacket pocket, since he was
   already familiar with the place.

That’s my favorite spot,” he chirped once he
had approached the stranger’s side and
   peeked at the map.

Kaito started at the chibi detective popping up next to him again. …Was he going to be following him around the whole time? Not that he minded too much, any company would be kinda nice, but… someone less likely to pick up on why he might be here would have been better…

“Oh… This one?” He asked, tilting the map down so the other could see, pointing to the spot he’d been making note of. Tantei-kun’s favourite, huh… At the very least, that meant he’d been here before. (The again, most people do when there’s one close, don’t they? Just not him, ahaha… Okay, ignore it, ignore, here for a reason.) Nice that one of them knew the place… If he can focus while he’s here, maybe he could ask a little about it.

“My friend recommended I look at that one. Or, technically that I should see all of the place, but that section, if nothing else.. Is it special or something?”

raifuujin:

Since I doubt the music for the specials will ever be released on their own, went ahead and spliced over Kid’s words for the ending/theme of them. Would try doing other pieces that aren’t so simple, but I only really know ‘I can cut the part from here and match it to cover here’ type of editing, so…
