The vigorous scratching at his hair only proved that Conan hadn’t brushed his hair at all day that, the knots and small tangles catching on the thieve’s gloved hand. Feeling it yank and jerk at his head, the boy let out a pained whine and slapped at the air wildly.
“What the hell are you doing?!”
“Jeeze, and people think my hair is bad… Just hold still a second…”
If Kid could fix his own hair to look like a certain detective, straightening this out to look decent shouldn’t be too hard… Though, at least his hair wasn’t quite so tangled when he had to do it…
His hands slowed, gently picking apart the worse bunches and ignoring the chibi’s protesting before combing through more smoothly.
“There~ Somewhat better…” He paused, then smirked. “Unless of course you were trying to match mine this time, in which case…”
The thief ruffled the other’s hair, just enough to look messier, but still a lot neater than it had been…
Making a blanket fort is a whole new challenge to Kaito, as most things are. It’s almost a competition between him and his other self, how grandiose they can make it, if they can use all the sheets in the house. Well, he’s succeeded on that latter note, and he sits proudly in it while shooting his alter ego a razor-edged grin. He slides closer to the other him, and drapes himself over the thief almost dramatically. “Told you I’d make the best fort,” he says with a smirk, though he’s rather uncomfortable. To make this better, he sits back up and leans against the other Kaito’s shoulder instead, realizing that he is incredibly cuddly. If this Kaito is cuddly, then he is cuddly. So it’s a win-win situation, with no room for complaining.
He leaned forward slightly under the other’s weight at first, and he sent back a look of mock indigence to his double.
“Only because you grabbed most of the sheets as soon as we started…”
Despite the tone, the usual smile soon came back and when his other self settles against his shoulder, Kid lightly pushed before tilting his head on the other’s. As with most good blanket forts, it certainly felt warm and cozy, so cuddling was really to be expected.
“Ya think, bein as allusive as ya are. Ya would be able ta avoid bein shot a bit better than this.” Heiji said his pressed against the nasty injury on KID’s side. His other working open the first aid kit he had found. Hopefully he could do something to stop the bleeding. Maybe clean the injury and patch it up.
“Oi… I think ninety percent avoidance is pretty good… for a flashy thief.”
Okay, might be exaggerating there slightly… He did get hit most of the time he’s shot at, though usually the targets he stole kindly protected him on multiple occasions… Or, you know, sheer luck. Guess it hadn’t worked this time, though. Well, at least it hadn’t been the worst hit either. And maybe luck had still played a part, with how close and how quickly the detective had been able help. But kami did it hurt. How long had it been since the bullets actually touched him?
“I’m more surprised they even tried this time…”
(Sorry Kai. I know you want to play on Valentines more, but I’ve stayed up for you far later than I needed to already. *Sigh* Being nocturnal sucks when you want to do things that happen more during the day…)
Took a moment for him to notice the box, but when he did… well, he was still mildly confused, but he smiled. The colours certainly felt familiar, and the clovers that lay in the box when he opened it said well enough who the chocolates might be from. The fact that the package just got left surprised him more than anything, with how the other selves tended to act.
He picked up one of the sweets, looking at it a bit before taking a bite, smile growing wider at the taste of caramel in that one.
Definitely will need to thank ‘yours truly’ later~
Two of these? The magician may have gotten a little more used to the others’ gifts at times, and it wasn’t as bad as the Christmas presents, but still…The kiss caught him by surprise a little, thought not too much. Sugaru was far more open with affection, but it’s hard to get used to it from someone who definitely likes someone else, so there’s a slight pink tinge after that. Kaito just smiled gratefully as he took the box.
“I do believe so~ …Might depend on if I’m trying to be, though.”
Sweet: Do you like candy and chocolate?
“Is that even a point to question? Gotta say, of the two, chocolate is definitely preferred~”
True love: Do you believe in love at first sight?
“Ah… Umm… While I do like the idea… I think it’d be very rare for someone to love someone immediately upon seeing them for the first time. Many people have a hard enough time even after being together for a long while, so to fall and stay in love right away… It’d be nice, but I don’t actually think it’d work so well. Maybe liking someone right away, and it develops into love, but not an immediate feeling… no.”
He grinned wide as he accepted the box. Really, they spoiled each other, and Kaito was more than fine with that, for the most part. He gave a return kiss, then tilted his head to look at the other hand.
“…Is there something else outside of my being a fan of sugar?”
It seemed the magician didn’t quite share her awkward feelings as he accepted the chocolate, grinning and snapping his finger to make a rose appear, tucking it behind the florist’s ear. The reason for the candy giving didn’t particularly matter, though he did know what day it was now. And really, he wouldn’t mind receiving flowers too much, but sweets are definitely going to get a more giddy Kaito, who also left a kiss on her cheek.
…Well, he couldn’t say he’d been expecting anyone to be in his room. A Valentine’s gift form Aoko may not have been unexpected, but… After a heist, he didn’t expect anyone in his house, much less here…
But he soon smiled when he saw who had been sitting on the bed, nodding his head in thanks at the open door, then blinking and looking at her curiously when she started speaking. And blinked at the box.
Oh. Oh right… It was after midnight, wasn’t it? The heist more than distracted him from this little fact. Though, he still wouldn’t have considered someone waiting for him because of it.
“…Thank you, Aoko-ojou.” He said, smiling softly, though with a slight tease in the corner. Still in costume, technically… Not that it mattered too much. He stepped forward, reaching to take the box in one hand while the other went around to the back of her head, moving in to briefly kiss her before pulling back with a smile.
