(…I swear, holiday season is trying to completely kill my productive mood. Not even because of busyness, but… game sales. And just got a Wii-U with Mario Kart 8, and bought the SSB game. And I finally got PLvsAA after a long wait… I want to play, but I also want to write… Hmm… (Also got Hyrule Warriors, but that’ll be a Christmas present from someone, even if I got it because I was the one with the discount.) And I’ll eventually get ORAS when there’s another sale… And there’s Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix or some such looming somewhere…

Kaito duplicated the action with ease. He may have been the one to start the singing, but he wouldn’t mind being the shadow. Just for this.
The shadow got to make fun of the other behind their back.
So he let his foot touch the other’s, just for a second, before he backed off.
“I’ve gotta crooow!”
The magician grinned and fell back into a somersault before hopping back up to his feet.
“I’ve gotta brag!~” He turned back to the other and crowed again.
“I know, but I still had to ask.” If only to judge the other’s (it really did seem to be another him) reaction.
Kaito looked from the cookie in his hand to the cookies on the plate. He was tempted to steal them all, deadly or not, but he didn’t.
He reached out with the hand that wasn’t holding the cookie for his doppelganger’s face. It would just be a quick tug, and then he would trust the cookie enough to eat it. "Sorry, have to check first.“
He hummed at the response, not paying too much mind to his counterpart until he started reaching over. At that, he blinked and pulled back slightly. Not much, since he at least was relaxed at the situation, but as cautious as his other self was being, never knew what might happen. However, it didn’t take long to see what his counterpart wanted to do, and he just raised an eyebrow and shrugged. Honestly, he got enough face-pinching during heists, whether he had masks or not, but fine, if it made the other stop staring at the treats like they were trying to eat him.
"Yeah, yeah… but pull too hard and I might be the one having to check to see if you’re not wearing a mask yourself.”
“Exactly!” He then did so. He was having far too much fun to bother worrying about anything unless it was a gun pointed at him. Which there was not. So he was free to sing as loud as he wanted.

Can’t say the fun wasn’t contagious. And singing. And it was Peter Pan, so why the heck not?~ Kaito laughed and gave a crow himself before jumping into the next line, a bit literally.

He’s not sure why the other is sweating so profusely and looking so damned nervous, but even he can’t work up the nerve to tease him for it. Settling beside the magician, all he can think to do is reach out and pet the back of his strangely clammy hand.
He really needs to work on his comforting techniques.

Kaito started when he felt the touch on his hand, quickly looking down at… Wait, when had he gotten there?
The magician blinked at Conan, glancing from him to the hand a couple of times before taking a breath and making himself relax a bit. Not completely, since this was still tantei-kun and he wasn’t exactly here for the most innocent of reasons. Ahaha… No, he’d never come to this place of his own free will under most circumstances… But at least not working himself up into a near panic, at least. He had something else to focus on. Heck, he hadn’t even been inside the place yet, just falling to his imagination… which admittedly probably wasn’t the best idea, since it made things a lot worse than they might be.
Okay, yeah… stop thinking about it.
Once he’d calmed down a bit, he sent the other a small smile.
“Ah… sorry. I… Umm… Did you need something?”
