“Another ‘alternate’, huh?” A poker face was a lot easier to put into place when he had already experienced another. “…Or did your eyes change color again?”
“Technically they could be changed whenever, with preparation. But your first guess was right.” And this one felt clearly more at ease with seeing himself, a grin quickly coming into view. Granted, he’d learned not all if his other selves followed the same line of thought – (or could think on their own) – as himself and most of the others… but benefit of the doubt and all that.
“You get used to it eventually. At least it makes introductions easy.”
“Yeah, yeah, whatever you say.” He didn’t particularly seem to care whether or not the other’s claim was actually true – just pleased with how things turned out. Another round was fine by him; it wasn’t like they had much better things to be doing, anyway…
“Think we should tweak the settings for the AI or no?” As in, make them harder. Just because.
“You can if you want.” Easier, harder, both would be likely to level the playing field. Didn’t even matter whether or not he beat the computers, his main goal was to beat his double right now. Then he’d essentially win. (…Well, ‘he’d’ win anyway, but going to ignore that thinking.)
“I remember that, then I got drunk n ended up naked under a kotatsu…”
“Different meme, same result, I think. Though, everyone tends to get affected when they go around regardless, so they all tend to run together anyway.”
“You guys should have been around when that meme ended up with… I believe four thieves stripped? And at least one Hakuba, I can’t recall if anyone else got to the point of everything coming off…”
“Also seventeen, so guess we know who to tease about ages~”
Admittedly not his usual method of giving hugs, considering the risk of the other person falling over. Flying aside, he did like to be able to keep balanced while his feet were on the ground.
But it was a different story when he wanted to knock the other down, when he knew a bed would catch them instead of the floor. Just had to wait for when his other self wasn’t facing him… Now!
The magician grinned before attacking the other with a glomp.
