“Hmm…. either Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros Brawl came to mind…” And a smirk rose up. “Though there’s always the Mario Party games, if you want even more frustration.”
The magician blinked and looked off to the side for a moment as another idea came to mind. Wouldn’t be quite the same as the others, but…
“…Or there’s a co-op mode in Portal 2. Solving puzzles with two guns at our disposal.”
Hakuba Smiled and took the strap from him, adjusting it from memory of last time and then stepped close, so their bodies were together. “Next time I’ll not bring the car, or we can go gliding again some other time.” He smiled and reached up to place a soft kiss to his lips. “Be gentle with me.”
He blinked at the kiss, though he wasn’t quite so taken off guard as to blush because of it. It did make him feel enough of a rush of affection to raise his free hand to caress Hakuba’s face, eyes going soft for a moment.
“…Of course, tantei.” Kid attached the other’s strap to his own, making sure it was secure before giving a smaller, disarming smile and finally wrapping his arms around the other, button for the glider gripped tightly in one of his hands.
“…Or, well… at the very least, I’ll be sure to get us there safely~”
And at that, he hugged his detective tight as he jumped backwards off the roof, grinning like a maniac as he watched the sky for a few seconds, enjoying the air pushing up against his back before actually turning in the air and pressing the button. As the metal rods in the cape extended, he continued to aim down for the most part, so that when it opened completely, the glider wouldn’t have to deal with the sudden weight of two people all at once.
Hakuba flushed a little when he saw the strap, remembering how frightened he’d been the first time. He was loath to leave his car behind as well. “I’ll meet you halfway, we can glide down to my car, as I don’t want to leave it here.” He walked towards his thief and stood before him. “That a deal?”
“Spoilsport…. But fine… It’s a deal~” He said, holding it out for the detective to put on and join him on the edge of the roof. Gliding was much preferable to driving in his opinion, but oh well. Whichever way would get them home.
…And it wasn’t as though he couldn’t have some fun simply going to the car, either…
Hakuba continued to chuckle and shake his head. “If you say so, my theif. Now tell me, how are we getting home today? Magical glass leading home or maybe you’ll try your transporting magic on us?” He raised an eyebrow, teasing him. “Though my car is downstairs, if you’d prefer a faster way.”
His mouth twitched upward even more at the joking questions.
“Hmm… well, I don’t have any magical glass with me at the moment. Actually, some ruby slippers might be nice for that, too… Though I guess we wouldn’t know if those allow a passenger…”
Kid grinned and changed the direction he was heading, going over to the ledge and lightly taking a step up, leaning forward slightly over the air as he turned to look back to Hakuba.
“…But transporting magic, you should know I always have, tantei~”
The thief then reached in his pocket and pulled out a strap, along with a fastener.
That was actually surprising but he chuckled and shook his head. “I like poker, as long as you promise not to cheat, my thief.” He wiggled a finger. He’d be keeping a close eye on his poker partner. “Promise to play fairly and you have a deal.” He smiled.
“Me? Cheat? I would never~” Well that was half true. He didn’t like outright cheating for games normally. It took the fun out of them…
But whether he would cheat currently or not would depend, since it wasn’t entirely the card game he was interested in.
“The Lady favours me anyway, even without resorting to that sort of thing, tantei.”
It was rather odd, usually the other took every chance they could to touch him, and Hakuba was rather worried, but he chalked it up to the headache and kept his worries to himself. “Oh, and what kind of game would that be, my thief?” Hakuba tilted his head, but smiled, because that was more like KID. “Will I like this game, or is this another one of your games to irritate me.” he teased.
“Depends on whether you like poker or not, I suppose,” he said, fanning out a few cards in on hand and holding them up, a teasing grin playing across his face. “It’s been a while since I’ve actually played it with someone, so I thought it might be something fun we could do~”
(*is totally not just going to use every excuse to use these as possible* But really, why am I getting so many five stars?? Because I’m fairly certain I’m not that good. Decent, yes. I still have enough ego Kai’s been giving me to admit I’m good at some things… But five star?
Clearly the reason I use Maya for these is the look of disbelief. Clearly. Also the high potential for sarcasm.
Geeze, I tend to ramble in these… But thank you! *hugs*)
