Hssss!
(It had to be done)
(We interrupt the random screenshot fest to give random appreciation

Because this looks adorable for something that lasts less than half a second.)

“…And now it’s downloaded and she’s in screenshot fever again…”
(Ok, and now that I’ve actually finished the episode.. Yep, still like it~ Managed to include the things I liked about both of Hakuba’s appearances~ No offense Spider, but I did want to see the ice skating failures and the competitiveness over Aoko, so…
Also, I’m much happier than I should be at that preview. For the simple fact that I saw blood, which was one thing I kinda wanted to see in Akako’s first appearance.)
(And the wrench is there too.~ Very much liking the more manga adaptation for his first appearance~ Especially since I actually hated Spider to begin with when he first appeared in the specials because I was a bit irritated at not being able to see Kaito fall flat on his face on the ice. I got over it, though.)
Hakuba looked him over and saw the guilt but chose not to comment on it. “No. I’ll be fine. Thank you for walking me here.” He moved to step into the nurses office. “I appreciate it, Kuroba-san.” he murmured before finally stepping into the nurses office to get his head looked at, though he was sure he’d just need some ice, and possibly some pain killers – which would have to wait till he got home.
He’d already been turning away and about to say ‘you’re welcome’ after the detective spoke and made to go into the room, but he paused at the quieter words that followed, a small smile tugging at his lips.

“Anytime,” he responded, though probably too quietly for the other too hear, since he’d already gone in. Then he made his way back to class, grinning as he thought about what tricks he could pull off while Hakuba wasn’t going to be in the room to point out how they were done.
…While still paying enough attention to get the lesson, of course.
“I know people who find doing math problems enjoyable in their free time. Just because others don’t find it enjoyable, doesn’t mean it isn’t.” Humph.

“Fine, fine…” Kaito fell silent for a few moments. If the other was being nice enough to come with him because of a whim, he supposed it wouldn’t be best to irritate the detective too much right now…
“…Maybe what I’m more wondering at is if it’s your only hobby. You’re always talking about your job… Do you even do anything else?”
“I am a flourishing high school detective with cases, my free time is spent writing reports.” a pause. “Which I rather enjoy.”

“…You really do need a better hobby. Because writing reports isn’t exactly something most people would say is enjoyable.”
“There are many reason’s you shouldn’t.” Hakuba didn’t explain any further, they were almost at the nurses office, and he didn’t want to loose his chaperon, just yet. Instead his paused as a wave of pain rolled through his temples, and then walked again, lower yet again as he reached up to massage his forehead.
“Looks like we’re here.”
The magician just hummed at the response. He was already used to the constant veiled accusations. And less hidden ones like earlier. Annoying as they were, they were at least fun to evade.
He stopped in front of the door, frowning slightly and guilt flashed across his face again when he noticed the detective rubbing his head. Yeah, he did still feel bad about it… Hopefully the ice pack would help some.

“Looks like it… Need any more help? Because if not, I’ll just head back now.”
…And probably take notes for once. If only because the other would miss at least part of it if he was going to rest for a bit….
“Yes, yes, you’ll get your snowman.” Hakuba sighed. “Not everyone has as much free time as you, Kuroba-san.”

“Most of them aren’t in high school and on break right now.”
Kaito sighed and put his hands behind his head as he continued walking.
“And some people need a bit more fun anyway. Breaks are for relaxing, you know.”
