Well, he couldn’t say this wasn’t awkward at all… but it wasn’t as bad as it could have been, right? The other was technically himself, so it wasn’t that bad…

Ignore the light pinkness, it was obviously from the heat of the bath. Kaito blinked a few times, just looking at his counterpart for a moment before grinning and making an attempt at killing the silence at least.

Though probably not the embarrassment. Had to bring some fun out of this, after all.

Now that was just cheating and Kaito was simply going to duck his head and turn his gaze away in the guise of shifting around in the bath instead, now facing the wide of the wall instead of his stripping double.

It wasn’t so much the fact that his counterpart was undressing – well, maybe a little, even though he’d really seen everything before, al things considered – but the way he was doing it.

“Ah, no, that’s fine. I think I can manage that just fine on my own." 

He paused, then glanced back towards the other.

"Would you like me to return the favor after, by the way? I’m pretty great with my hands, though…then again, I suppose you of all people would know~”

“Hmm… I guess I don’t see why not.They are pretty skillful, aren’t they?~”

Ok, he’ll admit, now that he was actually going to be getting into the tub with his double, Kaito’s blush grew darker, and he was a bit thankful the other had turned away for a moment. Apparent confidence aside, he could tell this was going to be challenging… going up against himself. He was good at doing this with other people, so this was a bit different… though, more often than not, he did think of his counterpart as another person anyway, even if they were the same…

As it was, he stood there a moment, staring at the empty space his counterpart had left him before cautiously stepping into it and slowly lowering himself so that he wouldn’t slip or bump the other too much or anything. Another pause, then he turned to his doppelganger and and smiled, holding out a hand for the soap and washrag.

“Oh, I know there’s enough room, don’t you worry~”

Just to prove it and to further accentuate that, nope, he’s not giving up no matter what the flush on his face might insinuate – and, really, it’s just ‘cause of the heat from the bath anyway – , he pulled his legs up to his chest and motioned towards the now open space with a hand.

“See?”

He smirked, shooting his counterpart a challenging look.

“Plenty of space~”

His own smirk grew wider and he met the look as he nodded as he got to his feet.

“Okay then, I’ll take you up on the offer, magician-san~” he said as he started to unbutton his shirt. Possibly a bit slower than he normally would, and he still never looked away from his doppelganger as he let the cloth slide off his arms. Not like the other would be seeing anything new, but it still felt fun to do.

“Though, if I’m going to help wash you, might be better to turn so that I can get your back.”

And now he was working on the pants, hesitating a bit before pulling both them and his boxers down at the same time. Too much and he might get himself embarrassed without the other’s help… And he’d much rather focus on getting his double flustered than himself.

“Unless you want me to help with the front, of course~”

He couldn’t help but squirm just a little, face turning a hint darker the closer his counterpart got. He refused to break eyecontact, however, and gave his double a playful look, because there was absolutely no way he was planning on losing this little game.

“Is that so? Then why don’t you join me? Let’s see how water resistant you really are, robot-san~”

Uh oh. This really might not be the best game to play with him… Because he plays this one quite a bit, and it gets especially bad with people that he’s taken a liking to. Even if it’s a parallel self, in this case…

“…You know what… Why not? I think I will join you. Though….”

He cast a slow glance along the rest of the tub before coming back up to his counterpart’s face.

“You sure there’s enough room? Wouldn’t want to fry you too bad~”

Meaning: I’m giving you one more chance to back out if you want. Can’t blame for what happens after.

Kaito couldn’t help but tense when the cloth was suddenly put over his eyes, and he could already feel his heart start pounding faster, not quite able to stop the small amount of worry that went through him. He trusted Madison fairly well, but….

“…Jeeze… do you really not trust me to keep my eyes closed myself?”

He stared. Then blinked. 

And once the initial surprise and embarrasment faded, he snorted, ignoring the way his own face tinted pink to instead send his a cheeky grin, head tilting ever so slightly as he shifted, the water sloshing lightly against the edge of the tub.

“Thanks for the offer, but I’m not so sure that’s a good idea. Wouldn’t want you to end up short-circuiting or anything, robot-san~”

“I wouldn’t worry about that, magician-san~ I’m water resistant.”

He then got closer, until he was right next to the edge of the bathtub and bent down beside his double, never taking his eyes off the other’s face and smirking.

“Hmm… Besides…. I have to wonder who would end up short-circuiting who….”
