(For any wondering why Kai is largely inactive in terms of actually rping right now… Well, partially because Spider is the account I have up on my phone at work so I can keep up better with what might be happening with the DCMK rpers. (A lot of good that’s doing now…) Buut… We may have also started work on the draft hoard again. Working backwards, from older to newer. Sigh. “One disadvantage to having too good of a memory for things you’re interested in… It hard to do the same thing more than once and not know all the answers and everything you need to do. Takes years for things to fade away enough to do some things with the same level of enjoyment instead of a rote ‘here to there‘ way of doing things sometimes. Not too bad for games that offer exploration, but it makes going through more linear games difficult to replay. Also I remember the answers to every single riddle asked before, and will recognise when someone asks me the same one. Sometimes ones asked to other people, if I’m paying attention. …And I’ll admit, a few that have been asked to me were ones I heard before. Probably a few years prior. Seriously, it’s ridiculous sometimes…”

Because with the hat it actually helps, but without, it really is just a piece of glass over my eye and I might get a lucky glare coming off of it to hide that part… But if that were to happen, they would have as good as caught me by then anyway, so I think the wind taking it is the least of my concerns.”

“It ends up looking like this. You don’t see too many recognisable features. Most of the time, when the people try and remember my face, they can’t tell what it looked like. There’s a bit too much action going on to get a clear look and focus on it. But for the second reason… I can get away with a less than perfect covering simply because I’m known as a master of disguise. Even if people did see me, most wouldn’t think it’s my actual face. Only exception might be tantei-kun, since he knows more what I might look like, facially.
Really, just playing with expectations and making people second guess themselves. Still better than just glasses.”
