Tail fluffed as he glares at the other. Jeez, he has a hard enough time with some animals like this, he does not need to be barked at.
BOULDER TOSS GO. THIS IS GONNA HURT. ANGRY PEOPLE ARE NOT KNOWN FOR THEIR ABILITY TO PROBLEM-SOLVE.
RUN YOU CATTY BITCH.
Shit! He hadn’t actually expected the other to throw it. Seriously, most people are smart enough not to do something that could harm the very thing they want. Considering how he held the chibi, and just the fact he was sitting at all… he wasn’t in any position to be able to dodge out of the way quickly…
So he did what he could.
Kid tightened his arms around the detective and quickly moved so that the boulder wouldn’t be going to him at all, curling around the smaller form protectively. A pained sound escaped him as the rock his his back, though he kept his teeth clenched as he took in a breath, the surge of adrenaline making them shorter. Not good, and not fun, that hurt…
After the initial impact, the thief waited a moment before opening his eyes. Hadn’t even completely realised he’d closed them. He shot a quick glance around, noting that his hat lay on the floor now, and then turned to look back at the wolf, eyes narrowed and growling. And he carefully let go of the chibi, giving him a small push, tail flicking in irritation. Overprotective jealous mutt is going to do more harm than anything else, if that’s how he handled things…
He almost wished that the thief had been given the traits of a dog rather than a cat, though he supposed it could be a lot worse. At least he didn’t smell like a cat, and he didn’t seem the possess the urge to claw at things – yet.
“Just don’t tell anyone, all right?” He didn’t need people thinking they could just cuddle him whenever even if he didn’t mind it from some.
Kid simply gave a small hum as he slowly trailed the fingers, working at it a short time more before the arm fell back around the detective. A light pull to draw the other closer and he settled, leaving his head resting where it was, continuing to purr. Definitely going to be here a while, tantei, think he plans on taking a light nap.
“Don’t worry,“ he murmurs and reaches out to pet his ears. “I don’t mind, not really. Besides you remind me of a cute blue eyed male I know. In fact your eyes are very similar.”
He leans in closer, there foreheads touching now as he lets his other hand pet his hair. “Odd wouldn’t you think? For someone to have the same eyes…the same glow.” A soft smile. “Maybe I’m being silly.”
The thief kept his eyes on the other’s hand as it moved, though they fell shut soon after Enzio started petting, a small smile turning up. Did feel nice…
They blinked open again when what the other was saying registered, however, and went wide when he saw how close he’d gotten. And a faint flush rose. He might not have the largest of personal space, but… this was a bit much… And half reminded him of how he met Enzio in the first place. Though this was much, much closer than that had been… And he couldn’t really help but to press his head back into the other’s hand.
“A-ah… well, a… surprising number of people seem to have blue eyes… I wouldn’t be too surprised if someone’s colour matched mine…”
“Ojou-san… then why..?” Sigh. “…Nevermind. And no, not the Aristocats…”
“Guessing my favourite Disney movie, to which the song was a hint, but can I hug you? Because you’re correct, and after so many attempts, I was starting to lose hope…”
