((I had one of the Mystery Dungeon games and loved it. Loving the first Ranger game but am stuck at this one point. And am semi-addicted to Shuffle because I’m a sucker for those kinds of games.))

(Of the spin-offs, the Mystery Dungeon games have been my favourite, though the newest one wasn’t quite as good as it’s predecessors… Still good on it’s own, but I have some issues against it because I played the first two generations of the series. All the Ranger games are great, if a bit challenging to actually get every Pokemon available. (But then, what Pokemon game makes that easy?) Pokepark isn’t as accessible, since it’s a Wii thing, but they were nice, especially the second where you could switch between Pikachu and the Unova starters. My brother got the first Rumble game downloaded, but I was the one who played it more, and then got the others aside from Rumble U. I think my reason for enjoying them is pure collection purposes, because it really is my favourite part of Pokemon as a whole. Getting all the Pokemon. The puzzle games are good ways of wasting away time, and I don’t hate them, but I don’t get addicted to them either.

I think I like most of the spin-off because they don’t focus as much on battle. The main games are still fun, but a lot more pressure has been put on people to really train their Pokemon in specific ways if they hope to have any fun outside of the story. Not completely, it’s easy to ignore, but I remember when it really was just ‘train your Pokemon to a high level, teach them good attacks, make a balanced team’. It was simpler, and I could actually fight decently then. I don’t really want to do all the things people tend to to battle each other now, so focus goes to getting the Pokemon, and the more adventure and  collection focused spin-offs catch my interest so much.

…Also not having to worry too much about levels and grinding to continue, that helped too. With the spin-offs, if you have good enough skill, even if you were weaker than you should be, you can still win. Mystery Dungeon might be the only exception, but even then, they have all sort of items to help with a huge level difference. Know how to use them, and you can win anything… Especially in the second gen of them.)

(Umm… so I downloaded Pokemon Rumble World and Pokemon Shuffle from the e-shop… I might be gone for the day. Because I seriously love the Rumble games especially and they tend to hold me for a while…

Though that does make me wonder how many people like the spin-off Pokemon games… I’m not the biggest fan of the ones like Shuffle and Trozei and Pinball, even if I’ll play them. I don’t hate them, they just wear out the enjoyment faster than others. They’re time-killers. But things like Rumble, Mystery Dungeon, Pokepark, and the Ranger games I’ve loved to death…)

flyawaythief:

“I’m not cool. I’m hot. Lupin already claimed cool, but whatever.” A dismissive wave.

The knot relaxed and the fugitive grinned in appreciation. “I owe you. I owe you more than one, y’know. Cash in any time and I’ll see what I can do.” He turned to face the other and gave him an appreciative hug.

“A week was a lot worse than you’d think. Do YOU wanna be stuck in a 9-year-old’s body, constantly under supervision, going to a lower grade? You thought you were bored at school before

Kid’s smile widened when the knot finally went away. And while he probably should have been expecting it, he still ended up blinking a few times in surprise at the hug, though it was only for a moment. After which, he gave a softer smile and returned the hug some. Not sure if he’d ever really need to call in the favour, but he’ll keep it in mind.

“I can’t even imagine school for that… though, it wouldn’t be too hard to get out of supervision normally. Tantei-kun seems to run off on his own often enough… But no. Being a smaller version of myself is bad enough, but being tantei-kun specifically I’d rather avoid more.”

flyawaythief:

“Hoooh… I needed that.” A happy sigh. “I like you. You‘re the cool Kaito. And you’re not a robot. That’s always a plus.”

At the mention of greyface magic not lasting too long, the fugitive snorted. “And that time I swapped bodies with Conan-kun, that wasn’t ‘too long’? A week, man. That was a week. And hey, thanks – we both know I’ll give ‘em back.” A wink.

Dimensional weirdness, whatever. Right now he was his own best company.

“I should hope so. And I’d also like to think all of us would be cool~”

The thief just smiled at the wink, making another short hum as he finished up the massaging. Funny that robots would be mentioned, though… Another of his selves kinda gave him the nickname of ‘robot-kun’, after mistaking him for one the first time they met…

“Besides that, a week’s not too bad… Could have always been longer. And doubt either of you two would have been happy if it had.”

flyawaythief:

“Stay inside? I can’t do that all the time though… Ed-san has a job that can keep her away from home, and I don’t have my lockpicking tools anymore. Any ‘inside’ places are going to be businesses.”

Ooh, right there… a knot riiiight there, it hurts but it’s a good hurt. Very good hurt. He does suck in a bit of air though.

“I just hope someone ends it soon.”

Kid hummed as he worked to loosen the knot, keeping the pressure firm, but not painfully so, as he works through it and up to the shoulders.

“It’ll probably be gone before you know it. That is one good thing about the grey face magic. It doesn’t normally last too long… But if you need tools, I don’t mind letting you use mine when you have to. You’re me, in a sense, so letting myself use them wouldn’t be much trouble.”

Just dimensional weirdness going on again, but that would happen when someone can already chat and give a parallel self company and back rubs.

When the thief saw her ‘casually’ looking around, he couldn’t help but give a small sigh before a faint smile came to his face. Really… he’d told her that he’d be sure to stop by her house after the heists, she didn’t have to come…

After letting her turn her head a minute or so more, he slowly shook his head and walked up from behind, quickly turning to give a light kiss on the cheek before smiling.

“Come to deliver a certain keibu’s bento again, Aoko-ojou?~”

“Ah. I actually wanted to ask you something too, but if you’re too busy, then it can’t be helped.”, she said as she kind of forced herself to smile. Even though it was kind of important for her, she knew, that the heist was even more important right now.

“…I’d really only need about ten minutes before the heist to get ready, so I don’t mind if you want to ask now. Most of the actual busywork is already done, it’d just be me getting into place.”

The heists might be important, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have time to chat before and after. Though he is keeping an eye around the room to make sure no one can overhear, even if they haven’t explicitly said anything that might cause him problems. …And aside from that, it’s fairly easy to tell when she’s forcing herself to look like that.

flyawaythief:

“Ooh, man…” Yesssss. Back rubs are one of his weaknesses. Something his counterpart probably knows, since they’re still very similar.

He had to crane his neck to look at the other Kaito, another pop in his spine accompanying the movement. “Ye…ah. It’s been three days now. What a pain in the ass. Cats are almost impossible to avoid, there’s too many. At least fish are harder to passively find.”

“Ah… yeah. Doesn’t help when they’re on land with you and are popular to begin with…”

He’ll glance over and offer a sympathetic smile before focusing more on what he was doing, hands pausing in place to work on any knots he could find.

“Maybe stay inside as much as possible? At least then you only have to worry more about pictures… maybe the other magicked people if you’re unlucky?”

“Thank you, Kaito! Say, how much time do you have left till the heist starts?” Her father wasn’t the only one she needed to ask something. She had to ask him about it first.

Kaito blinked, shifting a little as his hands move to his pockets.

“Well, the heist is at midnight, but I have to get completely ready beforehand… Why? Do you need something?”

flyawaythief:

“I hope not. Ooh, that feels nice…” He rolls his shoulders, an audible pop making him wince. He’s not ticklish by the hips at least, so no squirming. “I appreciate this more than you might know.” So tense. Kaito’s been unable to relax for what feels like years.

“Wait, they can fix these hexes?”

The thief smiled and the scratching slowed as he started pressing his fingers in more, feeling and working his way along his counterpart’s back. He had a guess that the other might be a lot more tense than most, considering his current status…

“I’d assume so. Most probably don’t, but if one curse can cause the problem, there’s nothing to keep another from lifting or changing it. But they probably won’t be willing to do that anytime soon. So, like I said, it’d be more if it goes on too long type thing that I’d get help like that.“
