What songs would you describe your muse with?

(Oooh, what to pick? I fall in with the other Kaito mun and say most I have are from amvs… Or my own amv ideas. Hmm… Well, I don’t care if it is from one, Angel With a Shotgun by The Cab will always make me think of Kaito. Hmm… Dangerous to know by Hillary Duff, Fences by Paramore, No apologies by Bon Jovi… To a far extent, Jack’s Lament from the Nightmare Before Christmas, though that’d need to be interpreted to get it across…)

…Nice as the videos were… he really should…

The magician waited a few minutes before sighing and walking off. Not before checking to make sure his card gun was still in his pocket.

…It did very little to help reassure, though.

’:)’

Okay, blinking at first. Then at about the five second mark, he burst out laughing. Which died off at the actual singing part, but the thief smiles the remainder of the time, and silently laughed more a few more times during the song.

Though that last one nearly deafened him. Didn’t kill the smile, though.

“Thanks for sharing this~” Yep. He definitely needed that, and it helped.

…Well, that was short, at least. Even for as patient as he could be, any longer than that ten seconds of trying to speak might have gotten grating…

“Not really sure what to say, really…” Though, as short as it is, might as well watch it again to try and get more of an impression. “Cute, I guess? ….Wait…”

Replays a part.

“…… Did he just say ‘you want him to do you so much you could do anything’?”

…Dammit, he thought videos might help, but nope. Even this random thing doesn’t work to distract much, does it…

(Oh, riiiight…. One of the headcanons I’ve wanted to mention… Kaito’s Kid is known for his card gun, because it’s Kaito’s main weapon and what he constantly uses both in and out of costume. Playing cards to match the magician aspect, but clearly are more deadly if they can stick into concrete. Now everyone knows that much, but the part I thought of was how similar it did feel to knife throwing… which is what we saw Toichi do in Shinichi’s Childhood Adventure… So I think that was Toichi’s main thing. Or, one of them. Probably had more than one, since he had more experience. He, or maybe Kaito built the gun, but I don’t actually picture Toichi himself using it that much. But I do think knives would be his weapon of choice. Just probably didn’t use them as often as Kaito relies on his gun.)

The teen sighed, looking into the mirror one more time, eyes sadly tracing over the face that examined him in return. Then he carefully raised a hand, finger extending to lightly scratch at the hidden seam just above the base of his neck, slowly getting it to peel away. It continued, higher, very, very slowly and carefully getting the mask off. Even more than when he’d used the double mask, he’d wanted to make sure this one wouldn’t be pinched off or seen through, so it had been a great deal more secure than any of his others.

But while he’d wanted to keep it up a day or two longer, he didn’t feel like doing this anymore.

Once he got the wig and the mask off, the last thing he removed were the contacts. And then he looked in the mirror again, staring, before closing his eyes and turning to leave the room, heading downstairs to the front door. He was probably just going to the park.

…Actually, he wasn’t entirely sure where he might go.

He just knew the house felt too stifling right now.

flyawaythief:

“Shouldn’t you know? You were talking to Shinichi nii-san, but that’s not really him. That’s Kuroba-kun as Shinichi nii-san.”

Little goddamn shit, this one.

“Hmm? I suppose you would know Kudo-kun better, since he seems to be connected to Ran-san… But what reason could Kuroba have for disguising as him at the moment?”
