“Really? Tha’ would be so nice of ya!”, she said with a bright smile.

Kazuha already thought, that she would be doomed to run around in Tokyo forever. She took his hands in hers and shook them in a thankful manner.

“Thank ya so much fer helpin’ ma! Th’ name of th’ shop Paradise.”

Kaito gave a small smile when she took his hands in gratitude. Yeah… probably a bit too nice, really, but it never seemed to hurt much. Still, the sooner he can get her set, the better, so he pulled away from her to get out his phone to see if he could find the address of the store online.

“Paradise, huh? Can’t say I’ve heard of it myself, but I guess that’s not too much of a surprise if it’s new…” That and it probably wouldn’t be a store the magician would take note of anyway. Not that he hasn’t gone into shops more meant for women, but he doesn’t keep tabs on them or anything. A few clicks on the buttons, some waiting for a page to come up and… Oh. He does know the street it’s on at least… but…. Hm.

“Well, good news is, it shouldn’t be hard to find. It’s about twenty minutes from here on foot.”

“W-well, th’ problem is, tha’ I kinda got lost ‘ere.”, she admitted with a crooked smile.

…And of course he couldn’t just leave after she says something like that…

The magician paused, looking off to the side briefly before looking back and smiling at her.

“Well, do you know the name of the place you’re trying to get to? Maybe I can help you look for it.”

She chuckled at his comment. “Yeah, ya two really do look alike. Oh ma! How stupid of ma! I jus’ started talkin’ ta ya an’ didn’ even introduced maself! Ma name’ Kazuha Toyama.”, she said a bowed a little in front of him. “It’ nice ta meet ya.”

“Nice to meet you, Toyama-san,” Kaito said, making a small bow himself before straightening and putting a hand to his chin in thought.

“Hmm… Just curious, but are you from the Kansai area?”

“Well, I think ya could say so. It’ more like ma friend knows him. She’ his childhood best friend. She were talkin’ a lot ‘bout him an’ showed ma many pictures, tha’ why I though’ ya would be him.”, she said with a kind of forced smile.

She still felt bad for mistaking him with someone else. He surely must have thought, that she must be a weird fangirl or something.

Ah… A friend of Mouri-chan, probably. That would explain it…

The magician brought up a hand to try and not-quite hide a small laugh. It was easy enough to tell that the girl was uncomfortable with making the mistake, but she really shouldn’t be. Especially if she hadn’t even met the person she’d mistaken him for.

“I see. She must talk about him a lot, if you had a good enough impression of him to think you’d recognise him.” A grin. “Well, at the very least, you found his doppelganger.”

He was trying to diffuse the awkwardness, though in the back of his mind, the part-time thief said it would be better to end the conversation quickly and leave. A friend of Mouri-chan meant Conan knew her. And there didn’t need to be information that Kudo Shinichi had a lookalike in the Tokyo area getting to him…

She pulled her arm away at once as she realized, that this guy wasn’t Shinichi. But she just had to admit, that they totaly looked alike. The only difference was their hair. This guys hair was actually too messy. “‘m sorry! I mistook ya fer someone else. But yeah, I though’ ya would be him. ‘m really sorry fer tha’.”, she apologized to him. To tell the truth, that was really embarrassing.

“No, it’s fine… I know I look like him quite a bit,” he assured, smiling at the other.

And really, it’s a good thing we look alike, since he’s the easiest for me to disguise as… though…

“You know Kudo Shinichi personally? Or just heard of him? Because while we do look alike, not many people actually point it out…”
