“Has anyone ever tried to figure out why our worlds overlap?” Or rather, how them overlapping could be beneficial. Figure out the why, and then the how. Not that he really wanted to have that power, just that it’d be way too much fun to mess with the detectives’ heads like that. Keke~ the inspector and Jii-chan’s too. Though he’d make sure not to let Jii-chan worry too much. “I’d rather not have to deal with anymore reptiles or bugs though.”

Hmmm… there wouldn’t be any alternates of himself that were dangerous, would there be? Felt like it’d be a silly thing to ask. “…Is it ever hard to tell us apart?”

“I’ve never had too much of a problem keeping people straight, but that might be because I’m normally the one visiting people. The ones who come to me on a whim tend to make it obvious which one they are, but… well, either way, it doesn’t seem difficult for most of us. As for why we can see our other selves like this…”

“…I have thought about it before. Never really came to a definite answer, though, it was all just guessing and thinking. Some of the worlds have more differences than others, like on the ‘reptiles and bugs’, I think the former’s in all of the ones I’ve seen. The latter sometimes is sometimes isn’t.”

“Kuroba-san, you’re zippers undone.”

Whether it’s true or not, the magician just raises an eyebrow and doesn’t even make a move to check.

Hakuba raised an eyebrow, but relaxed back into his chair, watching as he pulled out the paper and tore it. He then leaned in just a little bit to watch as he folded the paper. He crossed his arms, adjusting himself so he was a little bit more comfortable and watched him intently, eyes watching the way his fingers twisted and moved as he folded.

He could feel the tips of his ears go pink when he realized he wasn’t watching the paper, but Kaito.

The magician continued purposefully folding, twisting and turning the paper around as he did so. After about a minute, he smiled and displayed his creation on a finger.

It was a miniature deerstalker.

He carefully placed the hat on the paper horse, then leaned back and crossed his arms, looking quite proud of himself as he waited for the Hakuba’s response.
