The magician sighed, propping his head in his hand as he stared at Hakuba. He couldn’t quite remember what had happened before the detective found him. Really, he didn’t even remember being found, only becoming aware that he was in front of his house after being dropped off once everyone was sure he was okay. But he knew something felt different after he’d gotten back. Probably the strangest thing was when he’d gone to check the hidden room. Almost immediately upon opening the painting, he must have fainted or something, because the next thing he knew, he’s woken up on his bed with the alarm telling him that he needed to go to school.

He opened his mouth to ask Hakuba exactly what had happened, but paused before any voice left him. His eyes half closed for a moment before he completely shut them, along with his mouth, shifting to lay his head down on the desk.
