Hakuba watched him and then shook his head, letting out an amused sigh. He let his arms fall to his lap as Kaito push the paper towards him. He reached for the origami dove, picking it up before placing it down in his lap. He turned his attention back towards the grinning teen in front of him and chuckled.
“I’m starting to wonder if you’re not addicted to magic tricks.” He looked down at the dove in his lap. “A dove, very interesting choice.”
He lifted it back up and examined it closer up. It was well done, and Hakuba was a little bit impressed, not that he’d ever say that of course. No, Kuroba already had a big enough ego as it was, he didn’t need Hakuba feeding it. He tucked the dove into his breast pocket and took out a small, square sheet of paper.
He made a valley fold, diagonally, before unfolding it. He then folded the right and left corners until it formed a sort of kite shape. He then folded the right and left corners again, until it formed a diamond shape. He then stuck his finger into the pocket created and folded it down into a squash fold, and repeated that with the other side before folding the whole thing in half, creating half a diamond vertically.
He was a bit surprised when the detective pulled out the paper. Even more so when he started to fold it. The teen hadn’t really expected him to be interested in origami. Though, with as precise as Hakuba was with everything else, it wasn’t as surprising that he was good at it.

He lifted his head from the desk to watch the other work, trying to guess at what it was the detective was making
