There were also other ways for fish to detect these camouflaged fish, and if his contacts ended up a bust, he would have to work on another way to combat Spider’s illusions.

“I’m working on a way to fight against Spiders illusions.” He looked up at Kaito when he spoke.

Kaito twitched a bit at the mention of marine, but the next thing Hakuba mentioned distracted him from thinking about any swimming terrors.

Spider. A chill went down his spine at the mention of the name. The assassin had come very close to killing Kid the first time they had met and, while he hadn’t gotten caught in an illusion since then, the man was still dangerous… He was the one who got rid of the original Kid, after all.

But, of course, normal life and work had to be kept separate.
