How the heck do your soccer ball attacks not break people’s necks? I mean they hit nearly terminal velocity and they go into people’s faces, chests, and backs. I think Kaitou Kid has the right idea when he says those things are ‘hellish’…

It is just like a kick to the face from Ran-neechan can knock you out, but if she does not control her force, it could kill you. Any form of self defense has the potential to kill, and that is why one must use it with responsibility.

Two things:

  1. Surface area.
  2. Accuracy

A full strength punch may have tilted the pillar in the wrong direction he wanted it to go. If he wanted to be exact, he would have to be careful where he cracked the thing so it would go down in the right direction. I was not aiming for it to fall where it fell since I was going for you. It’d take more precise hits with the exact force and direction to ensure where the pillar would fall.

The surface area of the soccerball’s strike ensures more weakpoints are hit and makes it easier for a pillar made of stone to crack.

Considering you tend to use physics in your tricks a lot, I figured you’d have known… or are you just bitter against soccer balls?

“…”

Definitely just bitter about the ones he has gotten hit by. Still not convinced those things aren’t aimed to kill, but fine, he’ll drop it.

Marble is actually a fairly soft stone compared to others. At best, the hit would have fractured a few bones, but it would have done nothing else. Marble is weaker than bone. It’s why it’s used in sculpting, it is malleable and easy to carve, but hard to shatter by just shearing it with tools.

It’s not surprising the candle blew out, the winds that got to it were probably a light breeze, but that is often more than enough to blow it out.

He would have moved his hand away regardless, even if it could have bruised his wrist or caused large injury, he’s a martial artists, he’s not dumb enough to take a hit straight on unless he knows he can take it.

I didn’t really calculate for it to miss and it was a spur of the moment thing, I’m glad he wasn’t hurt, but honestly, you would have been winded at most.

“…”

“Even if it’s a softer stone, it’d still take a lot more than one of your more non-lethal shots to bring it down. Even that guy’s kick, which I’d argue would have had the power you were aiming for with your ball, still needed to be used after he’d weakened the pillar with multiple punches. It’s more the fact you brought it down in one hit that makes me think it would have been a lot worse than you believe it would have been…”

“That may be true for most people you use those things on, and I have noticed it’s a dial on your shoe, so you can adjust the power, I’m guessing…”

“…Does that mean you’ve just wanted to kill me in particular?”

“Because you can not argue that I would have been able to walk away from something that brought down a freaking marble column (and apparently had enough force that the wind from the impact blew out the candle a good three feet away. I’d just get off with broken ribs if I was lucky. Heck, even that guy felt enough of the force behind it to move his hand out of the way, more than likely in the fear it might get broken. Or his shoulder dislocated. And that would have been a glancing hit.”
