It might have been considered slightly creepy to have staked out the agency after the heist. …Or, well, very creepy. Especially considering he had no clear reason to, when the others hadn’t even come to this one. Outside of their range. For the best they hadn’t come, really. Another confrontation with guns and still no red in the gem for his troubles.

Movement below disturbed the silence, and Kid glanced down at the stairs entrance to see Mouri-san leaving, chatting fairly loudly on the phone. Couldn’t imagine what could be so important that he had to leave at this time of night… But soon enough, he’s already gone down the road and the voice faded into quiet again.

Jeez… and what if someone did sneak i-… actually, nevermind. Mouri-chan is almost as good a ‘security system’ as that one guy. And not like tantei-kun can’t defend himself either.

…Well, wait, that might not be true… His ‘weapons’ weren’t really the type he could sleep with after all. Unless he felt really paranoid. Still, the thought of the chibi staring someone down with his watch held up brought a small smile. A funny image to have… even better if he had bedhead~

Not a target, currently, instead wrapped in the shadows of a plain shirt and jacket with a hat, the teen silently went around the building until he saw the window on the third floor he knew the detective should be in.

Seeing lights on in the bedroom did surprise him a moment, but didn’t take long for him to consider it might be more surprising if the other hadn’t been woken up by the older man leaving. Should be lucky the other bedroom light wasn’t on as well…

Only a minute (with his card gun) to get up the right level and unlock the window, pushing it open with all the casualness in the world and stepping in the room with his poker face in place.

(I feel like most of the time, when I give a headcanon, most people tend to go: *nod* Headcanon accepted. …Then again, 70% of my headcanons put forth to the public have been Spider, whom I almost have free reign with, so…)

(And Naka technically was still in homicide until it was clear Kid had returned and wasn’t just a one-time thing. Which begs the question of ‘did they not find a body after the ‘accident’’, for him to think Kid really could be alive and why more than once we have to wonder if Toichi is really dead and how ambiguous it really is, not set in stone but not the clear as day message of ‘there as no body found’ in the anime, we really don’t have a clue for the manga. No evidence for or against.)
