(I don’t know the number of the episode, but was it the one were he kind of set the room under water to disappear in the smoke that was bild because he changed the things, I don’t know the english name, so that they would give more water?)

The thief grins and pulls out a rose.

"Indeed it is~ This icon as well. Episode 627 for the one you had to guess, though, from the first part of the Ryoma treasure case. I changed the water pressure, by the way. Now, onto the next one~”

“I’m sure it’s alright! And if not, then we can help them clean it up later.”

She was still smiling bright as she started to eat her cake.

“Wow! It’s so delicious! You have to try it too, Kaito!”

Aoko put some of her cake on her fork and held it over to him. She didn’t need to say a word to let him know, that he should try it right now.

He raised an eyebrow at her offering some of her own cake, when he had his own right in front of him, but shrugged and bit down on the fork, sliding the cake off of it.

“Mmm, you’re right! It is good,” Kaito said, matching her smile. He then got a fork to start on his own before pausing. Glancing out of the corner of his eye, he saw that the one who brought the cake was still nearby…

“Nee, Aoko. Why don’t we order drinks? It would feel weird coming in and leaving after just getting something for free.

Aoko was sitting next to Kaito on the couch. They were working on their homeworks as she slowly moved closer to him. “K-Kaito, I-I’m sorry, but I-I was to stupid to s-solve a riddle and n-now I have t-to nibble on your e-ear.” Soon after she finished her sentence, she moved even closer and nervously started nibbling on his ear, while her cheeks turned bright red.

Kaito turned a bit towards Aoko when she began speaking, but didn’t have a chance to react before she started the nibbling. After a few seconds of stunned silence, he grabbed her shoulders and quickly pushed her away, his own face soon flushing. Once he regained his composure, he immediately let go and averted his eyes.

“Y-you really shouldn’t do something like that just because you couldn’t figure out a simple riddle, Ahouko.”

“I-it was part o-of the game.. I’m sorry Kaito. I know you don’t like that, but I had to do it…”

She could have sink into the ground. It was so embarrassing. Who knew, what he was now thinking of her.

He blinked and looked back at her. After seeing how mortified she was he felt a small twinge of guilt. It wasn’t as if he hadn’t liked it, but the act had come much to quickly for him to think about it before he reacted.

“…It’s fine. I really blame whoever told you to do it more than having anything against you yourself.”

Aoko’s eyes seemed to sparkle again. She took Kaito’s hands and gave him a bright smile.

“Thank you so much, Kaito!! Let’s go and eat the cake!!”

Kaito followed her to the table, eyes softening and a small smile flashing as he took a seat.

“Certainly is nice of them. Considering….”

He glanced around the cafe, noticing all the confetti that had been strewn everywhere. There were also more than a few feathers mixed in as well…

“I kinda made a mess of the place,” he finished, sheepishly.

The audience started to applause at this great magic show. Aoko joined them, having a big smile on her face.

“That was GREAT, Kaito!! You’re really one of the best magicians that I know!”

“Of course I am,” he said, blushing slightly. “I was taught by my father, after all.”

Kaito was about to say that they should probably return to their seats when he noticed the magician who had originally performed standing in front of their table.

“It really was an excellent show. I’ve spoken with the other employees, and we’ve all agreed that the performance was at least deserving of some reward…”

They stepped to the side and revealed two small plates of strawberry cake.

ft-dc-fan:

“Alright.” was all she said. She took the ribbons and started tying his hands. As she finished doing that, she got behind him and covered his eyes with the other one. Be fore she got to where she stood before, she got really close to his and whispered into it.

“Good luck, Kaito. I know you can do it.”

She then walked back to his left side and watched him, wondering what he would do now.

Kaito was a bit surprised when Aoko suddenly whispered in his ear, but he smirked at her encouragement.

“And now, ladies, since I’m a bit tied up at the moment,” he raised his hands up for emphasis, “I’m going to need everyone’s help for this one. Don’t worry, you won’t have to do much. Simply clap when I reach zero.”

The magician lowered his arms and tilted his head, smile still wide on his face.

“Think you all can do that?”

A chorus of yeses met his words.

“Great! Then… Three!”

He tapped a foot.

“Two!”

Again.

“One….”

This time he also clapped as well as he could with his wrists restrained.

“Zero!”

Kaito made a small jump, landing just when the audience clapped. A sudden explosion of smoke rose up from underneath all of the tables, quickly filling the room. It didn’t last long, though, and when it cleared, Kaito still stood where he had been… minus the ribbon and doves and now in disguise as Seto again. All the women also had blue roses in their hair, including Aoko.

“So, did you all enjoy the show?” he asked, taking a small bow.

Everyone was clapping and just answered with a simple and loud “YES!” at Kaito’s question. Aoko already was totally excited about his next trick. She knew that he’d try to be much better than before. He loved the audience of everyone. And Aoko loved to see him so happy about that. She was pretty sure, that he would leave this cafe with a bright smirk on his lips. That’s just like him after all.

“Well, then, I suppose we should get started!”

He crossed over the room back to Aoko, taking the hat from her in one hand and removing the ribbons with the other, the doves flying back to his shoulders. He set the hat down on an empty table nearby. Next, he held out the ribbons to her.

“If you would, use one tie my hands together,” the magician said, putting his wrists together and giving her a smile. While he could do this trick with anyone, it was much better for it to be someone he trusted.

“And the other to cover my eyes.”

Her eyes widened at first, when the confetti was comming out of the hat she held. As the doves started to fly around around with the ribbons, her eyes seemed to sparkle. This was just like Kaito. He perfectly knew, how to get the audiences attention. She actually wanted to tell him, how great this trick was. But she felt like she would just ruin the moment with it.

He smiled and waved a bit as their small audience began clapping. Kaito glanced over at Aoko, noticing that she was silent and wondering if, maybe, she was a bit mad at having confetti thrown in her face. He hadn’t exactly given her any warning, after all. But her look of amazement told him that his decision to have her as his assistant had been the correct one.

“So, are you ready to start the next one?”

ft-dc-fan:

She nodded and turned the hat upside-down and started to shake it quite hard. After a short while, still nothing fell out, so she turned the hat around once again and started searching with her hands. Aoko still couldn’t find anything and smiled at Kaito.

“There’s nothing inside!”

“Great! Now…”

Kaito gently took the remaining dove from his shoulder and pulled a small blue cloth from a pocket, tying it to the bird’s right leg. After he made sure it was secure, he held it up so that everyone could see.

“What I’m planning to do is teleport Sora here…” he now indicated the top hat with the other arm, “into the hat currently held by my assistant.”

A wide grin spread across his face.

“And when I say teleport…”

A puff of pink smoke covered Sora for a moment before it dissipated, revealing that the bird was gone.

“…I do mean it!”

A sudden explosion of confetti erupted from the hat, covering Aoko, and a flash of white flew out, with the blue cloth on its leg. The other two doves took off soon after, now carrying ribbons in their beaks.

They circled around the room twice before soaring back to the girl, landing on her hands to drop the ribbon neatly into the hat.

Aoko nodded at Kaito’s instruction, walking over to him. She made sure that the doves on her shoulders wouldn’t fly away and softly stroke their heads. With a soft smile on her face, she turned her head to her best friend.

“What should I do now?”

“Just wait here for a second.”

After making sure she was in the right spot, Kaito strolled across the room, stopping at the wall opposite Aoko. He then turned to address the women.

“Now, ladies. As you can see, there’s quite a bit of distance between my assistant and myself.”

He motioned to Aoko, the smile still showing on his face.

“Now, if you would, please show the audience that there is nothing inside the hat. You may even check the inside with your hand to make sure.”
