It had been quite the night. Along with the usual heist tricks and police evasion, Spider had also shown up. The assassin hadn’t managed to do much before being chased off again, but just seeing him always created a chilling feeling that took quite some time to disappear.

The thief’s hands were clinging to himself in an attempt to ward off the feeling, but it wasn’t helping. If anything, he just felt more alone…

Looking around, he spotted a woman sitting outside, who seemed to be looking up at the sky. It was a bit strange, to be up at this time of night… Kid followed her gaze, giving a soft smile when he saw the full moon, surrounded by stars. He glanced back at the other before slowly walking over with a small, polite smile.

“I don’t mean to be so intrusive, ojou-san, but…”

Kid hesitated before falling to his knees and wrapping his arms around her waist, his hat tipping back a bit as he rested his head in her lap.

“I apologise, but do you mind if I stay like this for a short time?”
