HC: Help

(He needs it. Badly. In my opinion, every Kaito does. But he’ll very, very rarely ever ask for it, because he feels he’s doing fine enough as it is and he really doesn’t like admitting that he can’t do something, whether it’s the Pandora search or something smaller scale. But even moreso for anything that’s probably going to get other people hurt if they try to help. And Kaito gets lonely, which doesn’t help him in trying to keep people away. To the point that, he’ll get close to people and help them, they’re not allowed to do the same if he gets a say in it.

But on that note, he does like helping those who he feels needs it. It usually makes them happy and he can ignore his own problems a bit more when he does. And as the manga has shown, if he takes a bigger liking to someone, he’ll go further out of his way too help.

It’s also, (in my opinion, I actually don’t know how it’d go over in actuality), made him a bit of a pushover. He cares too much. He’s not an idiot, and if he sees a bad situation, he won’t just let himself be completely walked on, but it’s why things like hostage situations or just anyone needing immediate assistance take priority over his job, in some cases. But only if it’s outside of his control. If he expected it or even planned it, then he has no problems. He’s softer than he should be, even if he can deal with things when he has to. And that both helps and hurts himself… People tend to like him easier, but then he’s also easier to take advantage of and get into trouble.)

(Oooh, what to pick? I fall in with the other Kaito mun and say most I have are from amvs… Or my own amv ideas. Hmm… Well, I don’t care if it is from one, Angel With a Shotgun by The Cab will always make me think of Kaito. Hmm… Dangerous to know by Hillary Duff, Fences by Paramore, No apologies by Bon Jovi… To a far extent, Jack’s Lament from the Nightmare Before Christmas, though that’d need to be interpreted to get it across…)

(Oh, riiiight…. One of the headcanons I’ve wanted to mention… Kaito’s Kid is known for his card gun, because it’s Kaito’s main weapon and what he constantly uses both in and out of costume. Playing cards to match the magician aspect, but clearly are more deadly if they can stick into concrete. Now everyone knows that much, but the part I thought of was how similar it did feel to knife throwing… which is what we saw Toichi do in Shinichi’s Childhood Adventure… So I think that was Toichi’s main thing. Or, one of them. Probably had more than one, since he had more experience. He, or maybe Kaito built the gun, but I don’t actually picture Toichi himself using it that much. But I do think knives would be his weapon of choice. Just probably didn’t use them as often as Kaito relies on his gun.)

Dandelion: When you make wishes who are they for?

“Hmm… this is actually making me realise I don’t make too many wishes… I guess they’re usually for myself, unless I can think of something specific to wish for someone else. I mean, the times I can think of for making wishes usually happens when other people are as well, so most are already wishing for themselves anyway. Like shrine visits and such.”

Lemon: How differently do you behave when you’re by yourself versus when you’re with others?

“…Well, I definitely don’t cause as much trouble, with no one around. No one to entertain but myself, so I guess I’d come across as a lot calmer than most think me as? Not quite as chaotic.” (And if he’s in private, he does tend to talk to himself. Unless he’s thinking of things that get him down, he doesn’t act too differently than when he’s out in public normally. He’s just more likely to get pensive at times.)

Nettle: Is there anything you do when you feel guilty?

“…Would depend on what I feel guilty about, I think. If it’s something I could fix, then I would try to do that. If I can but am choosing not to for a reason, then I… do still try and keep it down. Like if it’s for a specific person, I’d try and make them happier aside from whatever I feel guilty about, or just in general make things better. If it’s something I can’t fix or help with… I’m not entirely sure.” (He ignores, distracts himself, and still goes making people happy to try and lessen the feeling, though it’d never really go away…)

“Easily? Hmm… I guess? I mean, obviously if I go stand outside for a really long time without any sort of protection, I’m more apt to burn, but overall, short periods of time or with a little sunblock, yeah, I tend to tan. It’s not like I go out of my way to get one or anything, though. And being more active at night, and indoors most of the time during the day really doesn’t help with that.”

"I might~ But if you’re wanting a name, I’m afraid I’ll have to disappoint you~”

Hair:How many wigs do you own?

“Quite a few… Enough for almost all the different colours of hair and at different lengths. And some person-specific wigs I tend to keep stored separate just in case… So there’s no set number. The number grows and shrinks as needed. I mean, I don’t keep anything that I only intended to use once, like for a person I disguise as for a heist that I never intend to see at another again… And I still need to replace some of the generic ones after I changed them for a specific style… Though, after my last experience with a strawberry blond wig, I think I might avoid using that particular type for now…”
