     He sighed.

This person wasn’t even close to what he was looking for. He was starting to get a little annoyed, though he’d sworn he would take as much time as necessary to find it.

“Aren’t you supposed to be in school, young man? And why aren’t you in uniform? Are you even a Shokusen student?”

If he wasn’t so stubborn, he would have admitted that he should have left some time ago. Cooking and growing food weren’t something he was really interested in, but when he’d overheard some people talking about some of the competitions that had happened between the students here, he couldn’t help but get a bit curious. However, they seemed to be spontaneous, and it looked like his luck wasn’t going to let him see any… Well, if nothing else, it had been a nice walk around the large campus.

Kaito jumped slightly at the voice and turned to the speaker, hiding any surprise he felt under an apologetic smile and quickly started coming up with an excuse. He hadn’t even noticed the man get close…

“Ah… no, I’m not a student here. Was just in the area and heard that this school had its own market in the agricultural department. I was thinking about checking it out, but I may have gotten a bit lost…”

“Kid-sama!”” Ran yelled out as she run up to him from behind. “I- I finally found you.”

The thief turned at sudden voice, smiling at the other and resisting the urge to take a few steps away. While she was normally a nice girl, knowing what she could do with karate always kept him wary, even if he’d never actually been on the receiving end…

“Hmm? I wasn’t aware you were looking for me, ojou-san. Do you need something?”

Adjusting his hat, giving a small but pleasant smile, the professor approached the person who had called to him and peered over their shoulder. “What seems to be the problem?” he asked, demeanour unfailingly calm.

“Ah, well, it’s not really a problem, per se, but I do have a question that you might can help answer.”
