(Hmm… Sugar glider, yes. Ermine or a ferret or weasel of some sort… possibly. Not too big on the squirrel, actually, but that’s really just me personally. It might work for Kaito, considering all the times I’ve seen them try stealing food from the bird feeders at my grandparent’s house. And more than one instance of jumping from a freakin’ tree to get past the barrier they put on the pole. But they all seem to be more high energy animals, which I actually don’t normally associate with Kaito. Playful animals I do, but Kaito really isn’t as active unless he’s got an audience. He’s really fairly quiet most of the time, just friendly.

(And I know these animals aren’t hyper all the time, and sugar gliders not really at all, but the general reputations of the other two precede them. Hence my ordering of likelihood going in backwards listed order from what you gave.))

Kaito watched his tail wave around behind him some before turning to scan the park. Not many people around, so… Sigh. Should he wait to see if he’ll get back to normal after some time, or go see how long it would take to find her to change him back…

His thoughts drifted off when he caught sight of something. A shoelace, close by, untied and his eyes went wide. Unconsciously, he crouched down and watched, waiting, then pounced on the shoe, rational thought temporarily leaving him for the moment of play.

Though the ignorance if a lot of people in the series sucks, not just with Magic Kaito, but with how they ignore the characters like you said. But yeah, getting other people to look at characters is harder than making a decision to look yourself. It all depends on interest. An open mindedness, since even just trying to get them to look might be taken as criticism, if they’re stubborn in how they think of things. They have to want to look themselves, else you’re just trying to prove how they think wrong. *shrugs*

Downsides of thinking too much about thinks: Not liking when others don’t. But what will be will be, just sucks when something isn’t fully appreciated for what it could be.)
