“Well, guess that makes me a special simple ghost, then,” Danny grinned, green eyes brightening and one whitegloved hand swiftly reaching for a chocolate chip cookie.

"Besides, shouldn’t ghosts be allowed to enjoy the wonders of cookies too~?”

“Everyone should be allowed to enjoy that~”

Kid nibbled on a peanut butter cookie as he watched the other, thinking for the moment. It had been quite some time since his first encounter with the ghost, and… Hmm… Still didn’t feel all that strange to him. Pirates, witches, robots… after a while, some things are just easier to accept. Especially if there’s some sort of evidence that can’t be explained. Though, that technically didn’t rule out Danny from being magic, he supposed. Flying, turning invisible, yet still otherwise acting like a normal person… Well, if you didn’t notice the slight glow around him. Hmm… Well, he said ghost, so suppose ghost is best to think of him as.

“Anything else a special simple ghost can do?”

And cue one almost drooling halfa floating over to stare longingly at said platefuls of cookies. “…Wouldn’t be willing to share with a simple ghost, would you~?”

The thief raised an eyebrow at the floating teen, chuckling some as he took another and nudged one of the plates in the other’s direction.

“Help yourself~ Though, pretty sure a ‘simple ghost’ shouldn’t have a need for any in the first place.”

A witch?

Danny arched a brow in disbelief and opened his mouth, only to swiftly close it again as he remembered that it most likely wasn’t all that impossible for witches to exist. Especially when he considered the fact that ghosts – and half ghosts – did.

“Alright, fine.” He grinned, slyly, and cocked his head to the side. “How about turning invisible then?”

And he proceeded to do just that.

“Well? Can your witch friend do that?” A laugh, sounding from somewhere just above the thief, followed by a short pause. “…And the name’s Danny Phantom. Not Jumpsuit.

Ok, that at least got a whistle out of the thief as he looked up, eyes darting around some.

"Not sure. Aside from flying, voodoo, and making guys flock to her, I actually haven’t seen much. I think she’s mentioned Lucifer before, though…”

He gave up trying to figure out exactly where the other was, closing his eyes as he put his hands in his pockets.

“Phantom, huh? I’m a phantom myself, though you’d have to add thief to the title. Most call me Kid.”

Oh.

That was actually really cool.

Damn it.

“Uh, well—” He cleared his throat and crossed his arms over his chest, plastering a smirk of his own on his lips as he proceeded to float a few feet into the air. “At least I don’t need something like that to fly.”

He raised an eyebrow. The feat, whether it was by trick or something else, reminded him of someone, though he knew the other’s had been a fake. Probably wasn’t the same, since the floating teen had said he could actually fly, even if he hadn’t completely done so. There didn’t seem to be any machines nearby to explain it either…

But Kid wasn’t about to admit he might be a bit impressed.

“I already know a witch who can fly herself, so you’re going to have to do a bit better than that, Jumpsuit-san.”

“Hey, at least my jumpsuit’s easier to move around in. How do you even manage to do anything with that cape flapping around all the time? …Why do you even have a cape?”

A smirk rose as he pressed the button in his pocket, expanding the glider.

"Let’s just say, I find it useful,” the thief said, leaving it for a moment before collapsing it again, “So a little ‘flapping around’ is an acceptable trade-off, I would think. Looks good and has a function, unlike your outfit.”
