✯ – with a sudden urge to cuddle
He knew the detective should have been back home by now, but he’d already checked all of the rooms…
Well, all but one.
The thief silently opened the door to the library, giving an small sigh upon seeing that, sure enough, the teen seemed to be scanning through the shelves.
Doesn’t he ever take a break?
Kid sneaked up behind Shinichi and slid his arms under the other’s, gently squeezing him as he placed his head on the detective’s shoulder.
“Isn’t it a bit late to be doing research, tantei-kun?”
His search for a book was forgotten at the chance for conversation, something he didn’t get much any more. And it always seemed to hold more meaning when it came from the thief. He attributed it to the fact KID’s intelligence was on par with his.
“Hakuba tries rather hard, I think. He just seems unfortunate enough to actually fall for your traps, and chase after you along with the Task Force.” Hattori didn’t try too hard, he thought. But then he’d only ever gone because he’d gone too.
And then his brain seemed to short circuit a moment at the feel of lips brushing against his neck. His eyes had widened again behind his glasses, the frames sliding down his nose some, and he knew he was blushing brighter (darker?) then he had been before. W-what was KID up to?
“A-ah…” Did he really want to stop the thief if it involved more of that? More of what? His vision went a little fuzzy as he tried to re-engage his brain. “S-sure?”
The thief gave a thoughtful hum as he pushed against the other’s neck.
“It’s true Hakuba tries more, but I’m not the one he’s really chasing, so it doesn’t count.”
He slowly raised one arm to carefully remove the detective’s glasses. As he lowered it, he turned his head slightly to speak softly into Shinichi’s ear.

“And that didn’t seem very certain, tantei-kun~”
