He’s trying his best to fight off the fact that it’s warm where he is, and he’s try harder still to fight off the urge to relax and accept that this was going to be a thing for a little while.
“Watch the hair…” He grumbled, though he made no move to swat the thief’s face away.
“Haaaii…” Kid continued for a short time before moving his head onto the detective’s shoulder, lazily bringing one of the hands up to comb and straighten the slightly mussed hair.
Tail fluffed as he glares at the other. Jeez, he has a hard enough time with some animals like this, he does not need to be barked at.
BARKING CONTINUES.
“WHAT’RE YOU DOING TO MY HUMAN?!”
“…Stealing him. What else would a thief do?~”
Despite the show of confidence, the neko thief’s ears were flat under the top hat, and the tail lashed nervously. But he’s not going to be scared off from just holding tantei-kun, either. Back off, you can cuddle with him later.
Enzio blinks, automatically wrapping his arm around the other. “So it seems a beautiful blue eyed thief has found me.”
Kid smiled as the arm came around, apparently not as worried as he’d normally be with how close he is in costume. Though, at the voice, he slowly blinked and looked up. The urge might have caused him to not pay quite so much attention to who he cuddled up to.
“E-” No… wait… he knew the other’s name as Kaito… but the thief shouldn’t know it… Ah…
“That explains the tail,” he watched the appendage sway side-to-side until he was gathered up in the thief’s lap, “o–oi! I never agreed to this.”
He shifted and wiggled, but was unable to escape his human prison KID had created around him. Dammit. “How long are you going to keep me for?”
“Dunno… B’t don’t w’rry, I’ll ret’rn ya ev’ntually~” A faint smile at that. Yep, he’s clearly stolen the little detective at the moment. And he’s not being stun-gunned for it~
…And if there’s a noise, don’t worry. The thief’s just started to quietly purr, nuzzling Conan’s hair a bit. Very much a cuddle mood.
“Uh…” Confused and slightly concerned, Conan leaned away from the thief that had suddenly decided to snuggle up on him, one eyebrow raised. “Are you going to explain, or am I stuck like this for a while?”
“Cat, and y’re stuck~” And with those few words, Kid pulled the other in more to settle him in his lap, arms falling loosely around him as his head moved to rest on the detective. Chibis make nice cuddle buddies. Yes.
Sleepy kitty thief is just going to… curl up against the nearest person and nuzzle. Seems cuddle mood is up too. …And now he’s even hugging. Well, at least his ears are hidden, though the tail appears to have escaped and is lazily waving.
“I see. Oh, can you see better in the dark?” That would actually be handy. “That way you wouldn’t have to use night vision goggles, which can blind you if someone suddenly turns on a light.”
Pancake is now gone. “Thanks for… accomodating me, by the way. A certain asshole illusionist wasn’t so kind, though I didn’t expect him to be. I’m thinking of ambushing him with some catnip as retaliation. Thoughts?”
The question on the night vision, he had to think about. The other times he had cat parts, he’d been a bit more concerned about other things than if he could see in less light… And home he’s comfortable enough in that if he ever did notice it was easy to see even without the lights, he hadn’t noticed. Hmm…
“Well, most of the times I’ve been ‘in the dark’ were still in the city… Kinda hard to tell. …I might can, though? It’s never lasted so long that I’ve had to do a heist going into it like this.”
At the revenge plot though, he blinked. And again.
“Spider? …Ummm… I’m… not really sure what it might even do… Sure, funnier reactions cats get are when they look drugged… Or get hyper… But… ah…”
He chewed anxiously on the pancake, still directing his gaze away. Though he could see the other out of his peripheral vision, which had become highly sensitive since his escape.
“It’s been a week, I think. I can’t remember, haven’t been keeping track.” Not that there was much need to. Pancake was half-eaten now. “… What’s it like? Being sort of a cat?”
He wants to get over this stupid magic fear.
“Well, it’s happened more than once, so it’s not that bad. Bit lazier… most small things that move are very hard to ignore… emotions want to show a lot more, actually.” He smiles as he leaned back into the chair. “Better hearing can be nice at times, though.”
When the ears aren’t covered, anyway. And it could sometimes make him more affectionate, though it’s only really happened once so far…
Abruptly chokes on the pancake when he sees the cat ears. Kaito coughs violently and whacks his chest a few times as he directs his gaze away.
“C… cat…” he whines, shoving the pancake back in his mouth and looking away.
Kaito blinked before quickly raising a hand to put over the ears, a small look of guilt passing over his face as the other hand went to his pants for a hat.
“Ah… sorry.”
Really, he’s gotten used to them by now, and keeping a hat one when he wasn’t dressed as the thief got very uncomfortable, so he hadn’t thought about it. But he flattened the ears and carefully slipped the cap over them.
