(Might have to call out on that last one. Chikage’s only travelling and such in the anime from the get-go. She was home in the manga beginnings, so it’s more likely she started travelling to help Kaito internationally. Since they still keep contact with each other via vid calls, I doubt canon Kaito is all that distant from his mom. Just to lessen some feels, though certainly not to discourage them, and going by animated only, that would be a very probable reason. Depends on what’s being pulled from more, so this is more a reminder that that’s not always the case.)
