“My crush? Well, they’re stubborn, can be just as easily flustered by my teasing as they can be irritated, though that might be more because of the tricks than the teases. Might or might not be physically strong, but they’re able to put up with me, so I’d they are mentally. They have enough will to stand their ground, but they can be flexible enough to listen to reason… Always nice, when one… isn’t exactly of the best profession. Much as they hide it at times, they do care about others, possibly to a point of wanting to get too involved in helping even if it involves danger….
Ah, but I probably shouldn’t go on too long. Hmm? Looks? Well, wouldn’t want to give too much away. A thief needs to hide some things, at times~”
“If you’re really so curious, you should stop by heists more often.” He takes the dessert, though, smiling at the other. “Not all of them, of course, but you’re going to be hard pressed to find anything out if you don’t~”
…Well, not the worst thing a heist target could do…
Consequences of looking for cursed gems, he supposed. But that doesn’t help when the thief needs something like, oh, opposable thumbs to actually hold the dang thing. It was too large to fit in his mouth, too. As it was, he focused on trying to move it along with his paws, maybe at least get it somewhere hidden before he tries to find out what to do. If he needed the jewel to reverse his sudden change of species, might not be the best idea to let it be returned just yet.
…Though moving something shiny around like this probably wasn’t the best idea either. It’s getting really distracting…
…Yep. Gonna play with the shiny.
Tail waving happily behind him, Kaito hopped on the stone, causing it to roll away along the ground, though it didn’t take long before he chased it down to catch it with his paws.
And before too long, his ears twitched. Footsteps. He looked up, standing defensively over the gem, ears back at the approaching figure. No. His shiny. Wait, no, jewel. His jewel. Still didn’t want people taking it, but should probably try to not get so distracted…
Heiji chuckled and moved to pick up the kitten. Okay so getting scratched might not be so bad if he could get the little thing to eat. And honestly he would have felt bad if he left it up here by itself.
“Looks like yer comin with me.” He said. “ ‘cause I ain’t leavin ya behind ta starve.”
He blinked, then hissed as the detective reached down to pick him up, not running or scratching. Instead, he tried, largely unsuccessfully to get the jewel in his paws at least, but it didn’t get far before falling to the ground again.
At that, Kaito did unsheathe his claws, struggling to get out. Really, he had nothing against the other for trying to help. If anything, he’d be grateful for Hattori’s thoughtfulness towards a random cat in this situation… Just not when his actions could separate him from the one decent lead on getting back to normal, and for that matter, preferably when said cat wasn’t formerly himself.
Loki: What is the best trick you’ve ever pulled on someone?
“Of course I’d get my favourite god from the list~ Though there’s a woeful lack of Artemis, so not like he had too much competition…
That aside, my best trick? Hmm… I do have quite a lot to consider… And I’m reluctant to say any of the shows I’ve put on at heists, simply because they aren’t quite as satisfying when the detectives end up figuring them out. Fun, just no longer ‘the best’. Though, even the phrase ‘the best’ could be seen in different ways…
…I suppose I’ll go with… something rather simple, actually. I may have convinced people that I’m a ghost during Halloween one year. Not even making the whole ‘phantom’ joke. It was before I was Kid, and I just made it look like I didn’t have to stand on the ground, could go through a solid wall, make some stuff fly around… It was set up, of course, but apparently believable enough that even some of the older people got pretty freaked out.
Not overly flashy or known, but for something fun, it lasted quite a while in people’s memories. Definitely got poked a bit after that, if people didn’t outright avoid trying to see the ‘ghost’, and I do still get strange looks from time to time even now. Fun times~”
Heiji felt something caress his side causing a tingle to travel up his spine. It wasn’t unpleasant but really anyone would be shocked when something suddenly touched them. Not to mention someone’s ribs wasn’t really one would caress unless in certain situations.
Unfortunately any touch to his ribs caused him to squirm and laugh a bit. Since they were rather ticklish. He quickly wiggled away from whatever had touched him and went to glare at it.
To his surprise it was Kaito KID.
“W-what are ya doin here?” He said a bit embarassed that KID might have found a weakness to exploit.
Heiji snapped out of it and squirmed away from the thief. Well shit, KID was going to use that against him wasn’t he? Not just that his ribs were ticklish but the whole kissing deal too.
“Nah ya can run off an cause trouble fer all I care. No kiss required.” He said his body was tense though as if daring the thief to get close again. If that happened the thief could expect a good right hook coming his way.
“How gracious of you. I’ll be off then.”
Oh yes, both accounts were put in his mental notes, and he’s not going to be forgetting anytime soon~ Wouldn’t be used for anything serious, but fun to keep in mind.
And he’s not going to risk more, with the detective on guard. Though as he turned, he glanced back, sending one more quick smile to the other.
“Oh, but I really did mean for you to have that rose, by the way. Do what you will with it, though I hope you won’t harm it on my account. Maybe even give it to someone you like~”
Random to say? Possibly. Though he really didn’t know the other all that well, aside from mentions in the news or from Hakuba. And he’d heard mostly about hot headedness from the latter, and he didn’t really like the idea of the flower being broken for teasing too much. But he’d said what he wanted, and a puff of smoke marks his disappearance.

Heiji froze, sure he didn’t mind close proximity with people, but that was with people he knew. And really he had been such an idiot to try and think that the whole kissing, on the cheek at least thank goodness, as a greeting and farewell ruse wouldn’t back fire on him. Not to mention taking the flower had basically put him in the perfect position for the thief to do that.
“R-right.” He said rather dumbly his mind trying to process what to do next.
Kid grinned. Honestly, he thought the Osakan might last longer, but ah well. He’d returned the favour~ The kiss he’d gotten before had certainly caught him off guard, though the detective’s reaction was more than he’d been expecting to get back.
A hand reached down to give a light poke to the ribs before pulling back further. Might work as a decent ‘on’ switch.
“Well, now that I’ve given my thanks… My purpose here is done for now. Though, I guess if I were to leave now, the greeting would be a farewell… Unless, of course, I gave another to say goodbye~” He teased.

Heiji quirked an eyebrow and reached to take the rose from KID’s hand. A rose really? That was a bit cheesy to say in the least.
“Or ya can just greet me like a normal person would instead of touchin me like some kind of pervert.”
"Like I said, I didn’t think you’d notice. Not like I was trying to feel you up, tantei-han. But if you want a more normal greeting, then fine…”
The thief quickly leaned in to place a light kiss on the other’s cheek before pulling back with a smile. Yep, hadn’t been distracted at all, and thanks for staying close enough to take the flower~ Cheesy, yes, but it works.
“That should match the farewell from before well enough, right?~”

Fill in the questions/statements as if you were your muse in a new post.
Still Kaito, last I checked. Why would you think I have a fake one?
3. Do you know why you were called that?
Pretty sure by now that it was an inside joke my parents wanted to have… Especially considering how they met…
4. Are you single or taken?
Single.
5. Have any abilities or powers?
Ability to pull things out of pocket dimensions, clearly~ But aside from magic and acting, nothing too incredible comes to mind…
6. Stop being a Mary Sue Gary Stu.
*takes a pen to correct that* Also, no~
7. What’s your eye color?
Mostly blue, though I’ve been told they have some purple in them at times.
8. How about your hair color?
Chocolate brown. (Yes, ever since we learned that exists, he’s stuck with it. Not surprising.)
9. Have you any family members?
Just my mom, right now.
10. Oh? What about pets?
My doves~ Though they could be called family, too.
11. That’s cool I guess, now tell me about something you don’t like.
People trying to kill me comes to mind…
12. Do you have any hobbies/activities you like doing?
*grins and spreads his hands to make cards appear* Magic~ Though I also love puzzles, since it’s fun to work on something that makes me think, outside of my schoolwork and job.
13. Ever hurt anyone before?
…Well, my tricks have gotten out of hands sometimes. I try not to, though, unless I have to. Emotionally, though…
14. Ever….killed anyone before?
…Does a robot count? I mean, obviously I’ve never killed a real person before, so…
15. What kind of animal are you?
A cheeky dove, or so I’ve been told.
16. Name your worst habits.
Worst…hmm… Aoko would tell you better than me. Or Hakuba. But I guess my habits of stepping where I’m not allowed and general disregard for certain rules most people follow are big ones.
17. Do you look up to anyone at all?
My father, always.
18. Gay, straight, or bisexual?
I… think mine is technically… panromantic demisexual, actually. At least, it makes the most sense with what I’ve read about it.
19. Do you go to school?
Usually, though don’t be surprised if something happened and I’m not in class. *sighs* So hard being a magician in a school that doesn’t approve too much of the magic I do. And Aoko hitting me with mops doesn’t help either.
20. Do you ever want to marry and have kids one day?
Want to? …Yeah, I guess I do, if I’m able to…
21. Do you have any fanboys/fangirls?
May~be both~
22. What are you most afraid of?
Umm… let’s just… go with those finny things in bodies of water.
23. What do you usually wear?

…
…A magician has disguises, jeeze…
24. Do you love someone?
I… I have someone I care greatly about, yes..
25. When was the last time you wet yourself?
Don’t remember, honestly. Not exactly something I keep track of.
26. Well, it’s not over yet!
Jeeze, how long is this?
27. What class are you? (High class, middle class, low class)
Hmm… I guess slightly higher than average middle class? Definitely not high or low, but we’re better off than some, though it’d help if mom wasn’t constantly traveling and seeing shows everywhere.
28. How many friends do you have?
Most of the guys in school, but if you mean close friends… then a few. Maybe. Not sure if all of them would be what most consider friends… Hmm…
29. What are your thoughts on pie?
Fun to make, eat, or, rarely, throw in people’s faces~ But mostly to eat. Do you know how many types exist?? Though I do prefer dessert ones to, say, meal ones.

General: Hot chocolate Convenience: Soda
31. What’s your favourite place?
That… Well, let’s just say the view from the Tokyo Skytree is excellent~

Possibly, though I might have to ask what kind of interest you mean. Yes to any, though.
33. What’s your bra cup size and/or how big is your willy?
34. Would you rather swim in the lake or the ocean?
…Neither, really. But if I had to choose… Ocean. Bigger and less likely to actually touch anything. And not all lakes are the easiest to see in…
35. What’s your type?
Anyone who actually cares enough to get to know me and doesn’t mind any craziness they find~ Or at least, for basics. Beyond that, it depends. Could be someone I know I can have fun with and they’ll have fun too, or just someone who cares about me and/or vice versa. Or both. It’s difficult to tell for certain.
36. Any fetishes?
Maybe? None that I’ve encountered, but I’d have to try them to know, wouldn’t I? Most of the ones I can think of that I’d like to try involve a great deal of trust, though.
37. Seme or uke?
A-ah… That… Would depend on my partner.
38. Camping or indoors?
Well, if it’s on purpose, then camping. Not that I don’t like the outdoors at all, but I’d like to at least be a little prepared if I have to sleep outside next time…

“How could I when I was surprised by yer sudden entrance.” Heiji argued taking a step back on instinct. Well shit, he had been caught and now the theif was having fun at his expense.
“An really, ya surprised me again by touchin my ribs. Speakin of which what kind of greetin is that?!” He said hoping to divert KID from trying to kiss him.
“Well, I didn’t exactly expect you to be so sensitive as to notice, if you must know.”
The thief raised a hand, holding something small between his fingers. A quick snap with the other hand, and a small puff of smoke appeared, and now a rose took up the spot.
“Would have been a better greeting if this had made it to your chest, now wouldn’t it, tantei-han?~” The rose spun a bit before he took another step forward, holding it out.

“W-what are ya doin here?” He said a bit embarassed that KID might have found a weakness to exploit.
Heiji had a bad feeling about all of this, and of course the phantom thief would remember that.
“It was just a farewell, nothin ta really thank me for.” Heiji said hoping the thief would believe in the lie. Then again the guy didn’t believe it as a strange custom when it happened.
“You do realise most people who use it as a farewell also use it to greet people first, right? Odd that you decided to be friendly just when you were leaving.”
Not that Kid should be the one to talk about that, much as he liked to use kissing for distraction. But teasing came easily when it looked like it’d work, so yes, the thief remembered that. And if someone’s going to act, it’d be a little odd if he didn’t know customs of even the regions around Japan. Nice try, though.
“Though if really was just saying goodbye, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind if I returned it for a hello~” He suggested, taking a step forward with a smile.
